Mr. Do Van Chien expressed his hope that each exemplary overseas Vietnamese, upon becoming a member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, would be aware of the great honor and responsibility they bear, and strive even harder to contribute to strengthening the role of the Front.

On the afternoon of October 18th, at the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (Hanoi), Politburo member, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, and Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Do Van Chien, received a delegation of exemplary overseas Vietnamese who are members of the 10th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. The delegation visited to congratulate the successful conclusion of the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024-2029, and to provide support to those affected by Typhoon No. 3.
After three days of active and effective work, the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, for the term 2024-2029, concluded successfully, electing 397 members to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
Among them, 18 overseas Vietnamese delegates participated in the 10th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, including 13 members of the 9th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front who were nominated for re-election, and 5 new members participating for the first time.
Sending congratulations on the success of the Congress, overseas Vietnamese delegates expressed their confidence that in the coming term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front will continuously consolidate and strengthen the tradition and power of national unity, combined with the strength of the times, to build a peaceful , independent, democratic, prosperous, civilized, and happy Vietnam.
On behalf of the Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Mr. Do Van Chien expressed his gratitude to the exemplary overseas Vietnamese who contributed to the success of the Congress.
Affirming that overseas Vietnamese are an inseparable part of the Vietnamese nation, and recognizing the contributions of overseas Vietnamese around the world, Mr. Do Van Chien expressed his hope that each exemplary overseas Vietnamese, upon becoming a member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, would be aware of the great honor and responsibility they bear, and strive even harder to contribute to strengthening the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front – the common home of Vietnamese people at home and overseas.
"I hope that each trip back to Vietnam by overseas Vietnamese will strengthen their bonds with their homeland and country, so that they can work together to care for their lives and contribute to building a stronger and more prosperous Vietnam," said Mr. Do Van Chien.
Sharing more about the new aspects of the 10th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Mr. Do Van Chien said that the Congress received 110 discussion papers and dozens of written suggestions. These suggestions have been received, compiled, and will be forwarded to relevant agencies for response. This is a distinguishing feature, as the Fatherland Front always listens to the thoughts and aspirations of the people.
Emphasizing the field of social welfare, the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front expressed his emotion that during the recent Typhoon No. 3, overseas Vietnamese turned their attention to their beloved homeland, joining hands to support and share with their compatriots in the flood-stricken areas. This once again affirms that when the country faces difficulties, overseas Vietnamese always wholeheartedly turn their attention to their homeland to join forces and contribute resources to rebuild the lives of the people.
At the meeting, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Do Van Chien, received donations from delegates representing various associations and organizations to support people affected by Typhoon No. 3.
Specifically, the Executive Committee of the Union of Vietnamese Associations in Europe donated 155 million VND; the Union of Vietnamese Associations in the Federal Republic of Germany donated 202,107 euros; the Vietnamese Buddhist Association in Japan donated 333 million VND; the Vietnamese Association in the Russian Federation donated 600 million VND; the Melbourne Compassion Circle and the Vietnamese Business Association in Australia donated 45,000 AUD (750 million VND); the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic donated 425 million VND in the fourth installment.../.
