Speaking at the seminar on the topic "Theoretical Basis of the Role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Political and Social Organizations, and Mass Associations in Building National Unity," Professor, Dr. Tran Ngoc Duong, of the Democracy and Law Council, Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, stated that: National unity is a strategic guideline, a driving force, and a tremendous source of strength that determines all the victories of our country's revolution throughout various periods. In the process of leading the revolution, President Ho Chi Minh and our Party have consistently affirmed that the Vietnam Fatherland Front, political and social organizations, and mass associations are the core forces in building, consolidating, and promoting the strength of national unity. This role stems from both the theoretical basis of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought and has been proven through the practical leadership of the Vietnamese revolution by our Party over the past 95 years.

The workshop was organized to discuss and provide scientific and practical grounds to clarify the theoretical and practical basis of the core political role and responsibilities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Le Ba Trinh, former Vice Chairman and member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front: The period from now until 2030, with a vision to 2045, is a time of beginning and breakthroughs in the new era of national construction and development, with many opportunities and advantages, as well as difficulties and challenges affecting the strategy of building and promoting the strength of national unity. Therefore, it is necessary to maximize the core political role and responsibility of the Fatherland Front and political and social organizations in building national unity, as defined in the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, term 2021-2026, which states: "Strengthening the core political role and responsibility of the Fatherland Front and political and social organizations in building national unity." The revolution to streamline and reorganize the administrative apparatus of the political system and administrative boundaries at all levels of local government requires strong reforms in the organization and operation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, political and social organizations, etc.

Referring to the new requirements in the 2026-2030 period, Dr. Ta Van Sy, former Director of the Center for Cadre Training and Scientific Research of the Fatherland Front, stated that: The strong dynamics of the global situation, the profound impacts of digital transformation, the emergence of new social groups, the increasing expectations of the people regarding the quality of public administration, transparency, fairness, and the demands of a modern socialist rule of law state all require the Fatherland Front and political and social organizations to innovate more strongly and decisively in terms of organization, content, and methods of operation, as well as the capacity to understand and predict the people's situation.

The broad mobilization and utilization of the people's intellect, creativity, and ownership rights are crucial to all national development decisions. National unity remains the top strategy and guiding principle ensuring the success of national construction and defense in the new era.

The workshop also recorded many opinions and in-depth discussions, contributing to clarifying a number of theoretical and practical issues to help guide the strategic direction of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in strengthening the power of the great national unity bloc in the coming period.
