This morning (December 14), a 48-second clip appeared on social media recording thousands of worms appearing on the streets after a rainstorm and clinging to the walls of houses, leaving many viewers terrified and questioning the cause of this strange phenomenon.

The clip was shared by Mr. Nguyen Dang Khoa (34 years old, residing in Ward 12, Vung Tau City).

Talking to VietNamNet reporter, Mr. Khoa said that he recorded the above scene at around 5am this morning in Quarter 1, Ward 12, Vung Tau City. “After waking up, I opened the door and was shocked to discover thousands of worms crawling on the wall, then I used a water hose to spray them out.”

In addition to clinging to the walls of the house, the road in front of Mr. Khoa's house also recorded a lot of worms moving back and forth.

According to Mr. Khoa, this is a type of earthworm, legless and smooth. "I also do not understand why such a strange phenomenon occurs and this group of worms only appeared after the early rain. By about 10am that same day, they had disappeared," Mr. Khoa said.

Mr. Khoa said this was the first time he witnessed this strange scene so he filmed it and shared it on social media.
