According to the state news agency KUNA, the Kuwaiti military general staff said that explosions heard in several areas were the result of intercepting airborne targets. Authorities also urged the public to follow safety guidelines and avoid contact with debris or foreign objects that may appear after the interceptions. To date, the Kuwaiti military has not released the number of missiles and UAVs intercepted or the origin of these targets.
Kuwait's announcement came shortly after Iranian media reported explosions in the southern region of Qeshm Island, although they did not specify the cause.
On the same day, Bahrain's Ministry of Interior announced that it had activated its siren system and advised citizens and foreigners residing in the country to remain calm and quickly move to safe locations as instructed by authorities.

In recent days, Kuwait has repeatedly reported missile and drone attacks. Some of these incidents have been linked to Iran by local authorities. However, regarding the latest incident, Kuwait has not yet reached any conclusions about who carried out the attacks.
Gulf states have remained highly vigilant against the threat of missile and drone attacks. Despite the ceasefire in the conflict between the US, Israel, and Iran, which took effect in April, missile and drone attacks have continued, including those targeting or occurring near Gulf states with a US military presence.
