Celebrating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 - October 20, 2025): Ba Ngoi Ward Women's Union: Effectively implementing movements

In recent times, the Women's Union of Ba Ngoi Ward has innovated its content and methods of operation and mobilized its members and women to actively participate in economic development and join hands in building a civilized urban area. Thereby, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of its members, building an increasingly strong union organization.

Caring for members' lives

Currently, the Ward Women's Union has 5,460 members, operating in 16 branches. To help members develop their family economy and improve their lives, the union has supported 1,443 households with loans with a total outstanding debt of more than 83 billion VND from banks. At the same time, it encourages members to participate in at least 1 form of savings; maintains 32 "Revolving Savings" groups; coordinates with units to organize vocational training for 1,839 people. In order to help women boldly participate in starting a business, the union organizes many activities to equip them with knowledge about building business plans on digital platforms, brand communication in the digital environment, building websites, livestreaming, making promotional clips; supporting women to participate in startup and innovation competitions...

Ms. Trinh Thi Thu Huyen - Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, Chairwoman of the Women's Union of the ward said that the unions at all levels have also promoted the work of taking care of the lives of members. Through models of raising piggy banks to save money, charity rice jars, giving means of livelihood, etc., the union has mobilized resources to support women in difficult circumstances, to strive to stabilize their lives. Thanks to that, in the period of 2021 - 2025, the union has helped 343 women's households escape poverty. In addition to 14 orphans directly sponsored by local godmothers, the unions at all levels have also implemented many support activities for children in difficult circumstances, including Tran Phan Huu Minh (Khanh Cam 2 Residential Group). Minh has lived with his grandparents since he was 2 years old. His grandmother is disabled but still travels everywhere every day to buy scrap to earn money to raise her grandchildren. After school, Minh helps his grandmother collect scrap and works at restaurants to earn extra income. Sympathizing with her situation, every year, the Women's Union of Khanh Cam 2 Residential Group gives her books, uniforms, backpacks, shoes, cash, etc. On the other hand, the Women's Union of the ward gave her a bicycle to make it easier to get to school. Minh shared: "The help from the union has given me more motivation to try to study well, so that I can have a job in the future to support my grandparents."

Promote movements

The Women's Union at all levels has promoted the implementation of many campaigns, projects and programs to contribute to building new rural areas and civilized urban areas; preventing and combating plastic waste... Up to now, the Women's Union at all levels has promoted 4,397 households to implement the Campaign "Building a family of 5 no, 3 clean"; helping 435 households achieve the criteria of 5 no, 3 clean sustainably; implementing green - clean - beautiful self-managed women's roads; establishing Women's Clubs with food safety, Women say no to plastic waste... Typically, at Hoa An Residential Group, the Women's Union has coordinated with the Front Work Committee to implement a flower road from May 2024 to create a clean and beautiful landscape. Every Saturday, the women take care of flowers together. The Union also mobilized women to clean up the environment; promoted members to limit the use of plastic waste, gave shopping bags; collected plastic waste...

Along with that, the association coordinates with units to regularly propagate and disseminate knowledge on preventing and combating domestic violence, population work - family planning, preventing and combating abuse of women and children; promote innovation in operating methods, apply information technology in activities by creating Zalo groups, Facebook pages to share, propagate, provide necessary information and gather members on cyberspace. Currently, the whole ward maintains 113 models, clubs, teams, groups with 1,295 members; there are 11 model women's associations, 3 outstanding model women's associations. Every year, the work of developing members has met and exceeded the set targets. From 2021 to now, the association has developed 802 new members...

Ms. Nguyen Hoang Van Ha - Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union said that in recent times, the Ba Ngoi Ward Women's Union has effectively implemented the work of the union and the women's movement with many effective models and programs. In particular, the work of caring for members' lives, supporting women in economic development, and helping those in difficult circumstances has been widely implemented.
