Khanh Hoa people support Cuban people with nearly 4.4 billion VND

On October 17, Mr. Duong Dang Khanh - Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial Red Cross Society said that after 65 days of launching the Program to support the Cuban people on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba, the total amount of money donated by Khanh Hoa people was nearly 4.4 billion VND. This amount was transferred by the Provincial Red Cross Society to the Central Vietnam Red Cross Society to promptly give to the Cuban people.

With the theme "65 years of Vietnam - Cuba friendship", on August 13, in Hanoi, the Central Red Cross launched a program to support the Cuban people nationwide. The program took place for 65 days (ending on October 16) with the goal of mobilizing at least 65 billion VND to support the Cuban people with medical supplies, necessities and sustainable development cooperation, contributing to helping you overcome difficulties caused by the pandemic, natural disasters and embargo. According to data from the Central Red Cross of Vietnam , by 8:00 p.m. on October 16, the program had reached more than 555.8 billion VND with more than 2 million donations.

In Khanh Hoa province, after the launching ceremony, the program received 1,642 donations from agencies, units, businesses, donors and students. The support of Khanh Hoa people to the program demonstrated a deep spirit of solidarity and humanity, contributing to helping the Cuban people overcome difficulties.
