Giving away touch phones and closing the smartphone skills training class for blind members

On the morning of October 18, in Phan Rang ward, the Khanh Hoa Blind Association in collaboration with the Center for Support and Technology Development for the Blind and the Ho Chi Minh City Talking Book Charity Fund for the Blind organized a program to give touch-screen phones and close a training course on smartphone usage skills for blind members in wards and communes in the southern region of the province.

At the program, 22 trainees who are officers and members of the Provincial Blind Association participating in the smartphone skills training class were given 22 touch-screen phones and gifts including cash and necessities. The total value of the training and gifts was nearly 130 million VND sponsored by the Hang family (Nha Trang) and friends.

This is a practical activity, helping the visually impaired get acquainted with and use smartphones to listen, call, text, use applications, better support association work, enhance autonomy and community integration.
