The consensus is that this planning adjustment is significant in integrating development spaces after the merger, opening up great opportunities to restructure the growth model and effectively exploit the potential of both the eastern and western areas of the province.

At its first special session , the Provincial People's Council considered and approved the adjustment of the Dak Lak Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. This is not simply a mechanical consolidation of the geographical boundaries or population size of the two provinces of Dak Lak and Phu Yen, but rather a strategy for integrating development space on a larger scale to maximize the potential and advantages of the merged province.
In the new development orientation, the eastern part of the province will prioritize industrial development, especially metallurgy, marine economy , and coastal tourism; the western part will focus on high-tech agriculture, deep processing, wind power, and renewable energy. This planning adjustment also creates a closer inter-regional connection between the eastern and western areas of the province.

To effectively exploit the potential and advantages of the new development space, the province needs to strengthen the promotion of its potential and strengths and attract investment, especially strategic investors, in key development areas. The resolution adjusting the provincial planning, once passed, becomes the legal basis and an important prerequisite for implementing socio-economic development, national defense, and security goals in the coming period.

In the revised Dak Lak Provincial Planning for the period 2021–2030, with a vision to 2050, the tourism sector is identified as playing a crucial role in the overall economic development of the province.
Right from the planning stage, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism closely coordinated with the consulting unit to clearly define key tourism development areas. In particular, the western area was prioritized for the development of the Yok Don National Tourist Area and Lak Lake tourism. These are destinations with established brands and great potential for further investment and development. The eastern area focused on developing beach tourism, resorts, and sports in the coastal area, creating a unique connection between forest and sea.

In addition, we will focus on developing tourism routes with product designs that offer seamless experiential journeys from the highlands to the sea; and at the same time, strengthen brand recognition with a clear and consistent message, so that when mentioning Dak Lak, tourists will remember a destination that is multifaceted, rich in experiences, and has its own unique character.
After the plan was approved by the Prime Minister, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism We will continue to advise on and implement specific projects, plans, and strategies to gradually transform tourism into a key economic sector of the province.

The resolution adjusting the Dak Lak Provincial Planning for the period 2021–2030, with a vision to 2050, has been passed and has received great attention from the entire population, especially at the commune and ward levels.
This revised provincial planning was developed based on directives from the central government. Despite the tight timeframe for planning, close coordination between the consulting firm and local authorities ensured thorough review of many aspects to guarantee consistency and feasibility during implementation.
Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of each commune and ward directly collaborated with the consulting unit to review the detailed planning for each area. This planning has had a significant impact on unlocking the potential of each region. Based on this reality, the collective of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the People's Committee of Tuy Hoa ward proactively researched and incorporated groundbreaking development ideas into the planning , such as: developing coastal urban areas, services and tourism, and exploiting the potential after the merger , with the goal of promoting double-digit economic growth.

Tuy Hoa Ward is the core of the former Tuy Hoa city, with a focus on commercial and service development. In the future, after the province reviews and reorganizes public assets in the area (especially the facilities of agencies and units under Phu Yen province), we will prioritize attracting commercial and service investment projects to these locations. This will create a new, more modern and attractive appearance.

The revised Dak Lak Provincial Planning document for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, was developed based on inheriting previous development orientations. At the same time, it adds many new contents suitable to the development context after the merger.
Specifically, the plan is built upon five major development perspectives: rapid and sustainable development based on science and technology, digital transformation, and green growth; people-centered and culture-centered development; focused spatial organization and regional linkages; investment in modern infrastructure; and linking economic development with national defense, security, and environmental protection.

The province's development space is organized according to the model: 3 regions - 3 corridors - 2 centers - 3 poles. This means 3 economic development regions, 3 economic development corridors, 2 dynamic centers, and 3 growth poles to increase connectivity, overcome internal weaknesses, maximize endogenous strengths, and mobilize resources for the province's development.
To realize these goals, the revised provincial planning has calculated and indicated that, from now until 2030, the province needs to mobilize approximately 676,000 billion VND in total social investment capital. The planning document has listed priority investment projects and investment attraction targets.
