Early in the morning of June 30, the Phu Tan ward nameplate was installed neatly, flags were flying, the online meeting hall was fully prepared, the transmission line was stable... Officials, civil servants (CB-CC), and people arrived early with an eager spirit and waited for the official operation of the 2-level local government model from July 1.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tien happily said: “I am very honored to attend the announcement ceremony at Phu Tan ward. The establishment of the new Vinh Long province, new communes and wards has been agreed upon by the people and they are happy and excited to look forward to new developments.

Recently, the locality has promoted the new activities of the ward, the central location of the public administrative service center... creating favorable conditions for people to contact and resolve administrative procedures (TTHC). I believe that the ward will develop strongly in terms of socio -economy, building rural infrastructure associated with urban areas. The new provincial government and the new ward will continue to be close to the people, understand the people and take better care of the people."

At the Tan Luoc Commune Party Committee headquarters, the party flags and national flags were flying, creating a fresh atmosphere before the important and meaningful event. Expressing his joy at the big and meaningful event, Mr. Nguyen Van Ut shared: “I see that after the arrangement, many young cadres have been assigned to the commune, hoping that administrative procedures will be carried out quickly, creating convenience for the people. This is also an opportunity for young people to promote their strengths and knowledge, serve the state apparatus better and better and take care of the people more and more thoughtfully. Commune cadres are closest to the people, people go to the commune's public administrative service center to conveniently carry out administrative procedures. The larger scale of the commune will create conditions for people to participate in large-scale fields, contributing to increasing income and improving the quality of life”.

As a young generation, with strength, talent and constantly striving to improve, the youth union members of Tra Cu commune believe in the decisions of the Central Government. Secretary of Tra Cu Commune Youth Union - Tran Trong Khiem said that he and the youth union members are very eager and excited because this is a "milestone" opening a new era for the country.

Through this, the youth will have a greater opportunity to develop their abilities and contribute their youth to their homeland and country. “We expect that after the merger, many new development opportunities will open up for youth union members, career development… At the same time, it will be an opportunity for youth union members to increase exchanges and learn from each other’s experiences to build Vinh Long homeland more and more prosperous and beautiful” - Mr. Tran Trong Khiem expressed.

Joining the joyful atmosphere, Ms. Ngoc Han from Tra Cu commune excitedly said: “We are very happy and hope that the new Vinh Long province will develop more and more. We believe that the provincial agencies and leaders will have breakthroughs to bring Vinh Long to a new height in the future”. Ms. Kim Thi My Thuan, Principal of Tra Cu Commune Kindergarten, expressed: “We highly agree with the merger policy. This is an opportunity to open up more development conditions, people's lives are expected to be better. Especially, the children's learning conditions will be better”.

From early morning, delegates gathered in large numbers at the connecting points. In the exciting atmosphere, many officials, former leaders, and party members expressed their joy and hope for the new Vinh Long province to develop more strongly.

Mr. Tai Thanh Danh - former Vice Chairman of Ngai Xuyen Commune People's Committee said that the merger of province and commune, forming 2-level local government will contribute to creating convenience for both people and state officials. Accordingly, people will have more convenience in implementing and resolving administrative procedures. Commune officials will have conditions to be close to the people, understand and resolve people's difficulties better.

According to Mr. Danh, Tra Cu commune - established on the basis of merging Ngai Xuyen commune, Thanh Son commune and Tra Cu town, will have great potential for development in cultivation, livestock and fishing. "I hope the province will pay more attention to Tra Cu commune, especially in developing transport infrastructure. Thereby helping people to trade and transport goods more conveniently" - Mr. Danh expressed.

At Trung Hiep commune bridge, one of 124 commune and ward bridge points of Vinh Long province connected online with the bridge point at the Provincial Party Committee Hall, the announcement ceremony took place seriously and solemnly, with the participation of former leaders of Trung Hiep commune through the periods, retired cadres, civil servants and representatives of people in the commune.

Commenting that “this is a correct and reasonable policy” - Mr. Ho Hoang Hoc (in Long Thanh hamlet, Luc Sy Thanh commune), said: “I personally agree with merging for further development. We hope that after the new provincial and commune administrative units come into operation, leadership and management will be improved so that people's lives will develop in many aspects”.

Also expressing his joy when Vinh Long province held a ceremony to announce the merger of provincial and communal administrative units, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Kiem (70 years old, residing in Tan Thanh hamlet) said: "Civil servants are closer to the people, it will be more convenient for people to come to the commune to do administrative procedures. We are excited to focus on economic development and improving our lives."

Ms. Nguyen Thi My Trinh - Officer of the Office of the People's Committee of Luc Sy Thanh Commune, expressed her hope that after the 2-level local government comes into operation, there should be policies to support human resources to meet the requirements of the new tasks. As a local resident, Ms. My Trinh expressed her wish: The State has policies to help farmers access science and technology, stabilize prices of agricultural materials for profitable agricultural cultivation, ensure production and improve living standards.

I hope the new commune is worthy of the name Cai Ngang - heroic land".
