The “half-laughing, half-crying” story about a little girl from Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province (China) was shared by her parents on a major Chinese social media platform on February 8. In the video, the mother approaches her daughter’s familiar desk, where she is doing her homework like every other normal night, and discovers the “screaming” truth.

When she looked closely and touched her “daughter”, the mother was shocked to discover that it was not the little girl but a pile of clothes that had been skillfully crafted. This was just a mannequin made from the little girl’s clothes, including a yellow cotton jacket and a hat, sitting neatly on a chair studying just like a real person. Meanwhile, the little girl was busy playing nearby.

When her parents found out, instead of admitting her mistake, the girl insisted: "I'm still studying." This scene made family members unable to stop laughing. The girl's mother shared that she didn't know what to say when she discovered her daughter's mischief.

Sharing on social media, the mother wrote: "There is a policy above, there is a countermeasure below. I asked her to study and do her homework and she put a scarecrow there."
