At the workshop, experts and managers focused on analyzing the outstanding advantages of the locality such as high-tech agriculture, ecotourism, and renewable energy. In addition, many opinions also pointed out limitations in transportation infrastructure, the quality of tourism services, and the need to conserve the ecosystem during the development process.
Many delegates proposed groundbreaking mechanisms and policies to attract investment, improve governance capacity, and create momentum for sustainable growth.
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, believes that Lam Dong's development model should be oriented towards a green, interconnected, multi-centered, ecological, and smart axis. The goal is to build the locality into a center for high-tech agriculture, green marine economy, clean energy, high-quality tourism, and industry in the southern region.
According to this orientation, Da Lat will play the role of a center for innovation; Phan Thiet will become a center for the maritime economy; Gia Nghia will develop into a center for green industries, energy, and mineral processing; while the Bao Loc - Di Linh area is oriented as a center for administration, services, and high-tech industries.

According to Y Thanh Hà Niê Kđăm, Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, the province is facing a pivotal development opportunity. He noted that growth models based on resource exploitation or traditional tourism and agricultural development have reached their limits and no longer have much room for breakthroughs.
Mr. Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam emphasized that Lam Dong needs a new strategic mindset and a new "launching pad" to reposition itself in the region and nationwide. The scientific arguments and proposals at the workshop will be an important basis for building a new development model for Lam Dong, aiming for rapid, sustainable growth and becoming a dynamic growth pole of the South Central Coast and Central Highlands regions.
