Cultural heritage area

Lam Dong Department of Science and Technology has been assigned the task of "Researching and building a community-based tourism model" with the selection of units to implement 2-3 tourism models, including at least 1 model exploiting Lam Dong's indigenous cultural values. At the same time, research, evaluate the current situation, determine potential, and propose feasible solutions for sustainable development of community tourism in the province.

In Lam Dong, some tourism models have become famous and highly effective, such as: The community tourism model in Bidoup - Nui Ba is a community-based ecotourism model (CBET), improving livelihoods through education on agriculture and the environment. To help spread the cultural values of the Central Highlands, Lang Biang Tourist Area has cooperated with surrounding villages to build a gong performance program in Tram Nam Valley...

Or in Don Duong is a community tourism model associated with the culture of the Churu ethnic group: exploiting the values of the Gong Cultural Space of the Churu people, traditional crafts including pottery, silver rings, weaving, making wine in Lac Xuan, Tu Tra, and Pró communes; traditional cuisine of indigenous people. Community tourism with craft villages with Lac Lam rice paper products: Visit and learn about the process of making handmade rice paper by households that migrated from Kinh Bac to Don Duong for more than 30 years, forming the Lac Lam traditional rice paper production village, especially enjoying grilled rice paper with shrimp paste created by villagers and has become a typical product of the craft village. Combining sightseeing tours based on the wild beauty of natural landscapes such as Cha Tay waterfall, Thien Thai waterfall, Chau Son pine hill, Ma Danh lake, Da Ron lake, Da Nhim lake, wild flower hills; Visit and admire the unique beauty of architectural works imbued with the culture of the Churu people such as Ka Don church and Churu ancient church.

In Di Linh, at the end of February, the district People's Committee issued a plan to implement the Project on Developing Community Tourism in Vietnam in the district. Accordingly, it is determined to develop community tourism in a sustainable direction; associated with promoting progress and social equity. Effectively exploiting the potential, strengths and characteristics of the locality; at the same time, mobilizing resources to develop community tourism; integrating with the contents of implementing national target programs in the area...

Effective exploitation orientation

With abundant and rich potential in nature and culture, people in the whole province have known how to take advantage of and exploit this "gold mine" to turn it into a driving force for economic development. The leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said: Community tourism models that combine agricultural production and cultivation with tourism development have brought high efficiency, not only contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality but also providing a stable source of livelihood, improving the quality of life for the people. These models have become unique tourism products, bearing the identity of each locality, contributing to diversifying and avoiding duplication of products between localities.

Sharing benefits and accompanying development have been effectively implemented by many tourist destinations. Developing community tourism is both preserving culture and promoting inherent values. For community tourism to create sustainable livelihoods, in addition to natural landscapes and distinct indigenous cultural values, first of all, it requires a united community, ready to share benefits. Along with that is the parallelism, cooperation, and orientation of all levels, departments, branches, and local authorities.

In order for community tourism to become a complete product, gradually building and developing the Lam Dong community tourism brand, it is necessary to link community tourism development with preserving and promoting traditional cultural values of ethnic groups, including practical experiences in craft villages; linking community tourism with new rural construction, supporting access to resources and public services for rural areas, especially ethnic minority and mountainous areas...

At the same time, the plan also aims to strive for each district to build at least 1 model of a community tourism chain linked to new rural construction; traditional craft villages with OCOP products linked to community tourism development; 1 community tourism spot with information technology application in tourism activities; towards the goal of building a database and standardizing digital maps of community tourism spots nationwide...
