Lam Dong holds the first session of the People's Council

On the morning of July 3, the People's Council of Lam Dong province, term X, 2021-2026, held its first meeting after the merger to review and resolve issues related to organizational structure, personnel work and decide on a number of important issues within its authority.

At the meeting, the Lam Dong Provincial People's Council announced the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the appointment of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Heads of Committees of the Provincial People's Council, term X, 2021-2026; Announced the Decision of the Prime Minister on the appointment of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Comrade Tran Hong Thai, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Council delivered the opening speech at the meeting.

Accordingly, comrade Tran Hong Thai was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Council. The Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Council include comrades: K'Mák, Y Quang Bkrông, Tieu Hong Phuc, Nguyen Thi Thuan Bich, Mai Thi Xuan Trung and Da Cat Vinh.

The meeting also voted to pass a resolution on the establishment of 4 Committees of the Provincial People's Council, including: Economic - Budget Committee, Legal Committee, Cultural - Social Committee and Ethnic Committee; establishment of 14 specialized agencies and other administrative organizations under the Provincial People's Committee; establishment of the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council; Plan to organize regular sessions of the Provincial People's Council in 2025. Announce the list of delegates of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Council after the arrangement; approve the number and list of Deputy Heads and Members of the Committees of the Provincial People's Council; establish the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Lam Dong province, requested that the People's Council of Lam Dong province should strongly promote its leading role, democratic spirit, innovation, and responsibility; be proactive and creative in thinking and doing, bold and innovative on a solid legal basis to discuss and promulgate correct, accurate, timely, feasible mechanisms and policies that are close to the development reality of the province.

Comrade Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Lam Dong province, gave a speech at the meeting.

At the same time, the Provincial People's Council and the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council directed the review and proactive coordination with the Provincial People's Committee and relevant agencies to immediately issue urgent resolutions and policies to ensure that the activities and tasks of the two-level local government operate effectively, efficiently, effectively, and smoothly, promptly resolving issues arising in practical direction and administration.

Each People's Council delegate must be a cadre close to the people, understand the people, speak the voice of the people and act for the benefit of the people. Regularly contact, listen to and honestly reflect the thoughts and aspirations of voters; at the same time, boldly propose breakthrough and practical policies for the long-term development of the province.

The Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee also requested the Provincial People's Committee to promptly issue decisions to improve and ensure smooth operation conditions for specialized agencies and other administrative organizations; proactively direct the review and submit to the Provincial People's Council policies to ensure the implementation of socio-economic development tasks; strengthen solidarity, unity, dynamism, creativity, drastic and effective actions for the people.
