The provincial National Assembly delegation surveyed the operation of the 2-level local government model in Binh Thuan ward.

On the morning of July 5, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, including comrades Nguyen Dac Vinh, member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Society; Ly Thi Lan, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Ma Thi Thuy, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, surveyed the implementation of the 2-level local government model in Binh Thuan ward.

The delegation included comrades: Nguyen Manh Tuan, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Thi Thanh Tra, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.

Binh Thuan Ward was established on the basis of merging the natural area and population of Thai Long Commune and Doi Can Ward (old). After its establishment, Binh Thuan Ward has a natural area of over 46 ^km2 and a population of over 18,600 people. Currently, the ward uses two working offices, including the old Thai Long Commune office and the old Doi Can Ward office.

Surveying the facilities, working conditions, personnel and staff of Binh Thuan ward, Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Culture and Society Nguyen Dac Vinh acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts and determination of the ward Party Committee and government in operating the apparatus of the political system immediately after the merger.

He emphasized the arrangement of administrative units at provincial and communal levels, and the implementation of two-level local government. The ultimate and most important goal is to improve the efficiency of operating a lean, compact, and strong apparatus to serve the people and the country's development requirements.

The commune-level government is the level that directly contacts and serves the people, so with the attention of the province, Binh Thuan ward continues to do a good job in operating the administrative apparatus. Each cadre and party member upholds the spirit of solidarity, responsibility, overcomes difficulties, innovates and is creative in performing tasks; especially the spirit and attitude of serving the people, resolving administrative procedures quickly, in accordance with procedures and regulations.

He also requested the ward government to continue to do a good job in ideological work, consolidate the organizational structure, focus on training and fostering cadres in a streamlined and specialized direction, and promptly report difficulties and problems for competent authorities to consider and resolve.
