2 monthly contestants will participate in the Olympia quarterly contest
From a situation where contestants were scored incorrectly and realizing that the advisor's decision at the time of filming could affect the contestants' chances of entering the quarter competition, the Organizing Committee of Road to Olympia has decided that the 25th quarter competition will have 5 contestants.
Specifically, after the 25th year of the Road to Olympia's 4th quarter monthly competition, in addition to contestant Nguyen Bach Hiep (student of Son Tay High School for the Gifted, Hanoi ; scored 195 points) who won the laurel wreath, the program's Organizing Committee also decided to invite contestant Le Duc Minh (student of Foreign Language High School, Hanoi National University; runner-up in the monthly competition with 185 points) to participate in the 4th quarter competition.
This special Q4 contest is scheduled to air on October 19, 2025.

Previously, there were also matches in Road to Olympia with 5 contestants.
The most recent was the Road to Olympia Final in 2009 and is also the only final to date with 5 contestants. This happened because contestant Bach Dinh Thang (Hanoi) successfully complained to the organizing committee about a question in the Finishing round in the third quarter competition. After being approved and having their scores added up, contestants Bach Dinh Thang and Ho Ngoc Han were recognized as joint first place winners of the third quarter and were both allowed to participate in the yearly final.
The final round of the Road to Olympia 2009 had the participation of 5 contestants: Bui Tu Quy (Gifted High School, Ho Chi Minh City National University); Nguyen Thi Thu Trang (Bao Loc High School, Lam Dong ); Ho Ngoc Han (Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted - Hue); Dao Thi Huong (Bim Son High School, Thanh Hoa) and Bach Dinh Thang (Nguyen Hue High School for the Gifted, Hanoi).
In the history of Road to Olympia, there have been scoring incidents related to contestants' answers, even in the finals of the year, and they were later corrected.
In October 2022, the Organizing Committee of the Road to Olympia Program issued a correction notice about the error in not recognizing the correct answer of contestant Bui Anh Duc in an English question in the 22nd year final.

Specifically, at the Road to Olympia Finals 2022, in the Finish Line contest of contestant Vu Nguyen Son (student of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted), the program gave an English question with the following content:
(MV See You Again)
It's been a long day without you, my friend
And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again (I'll see you again)
We've come a long way (yeah, we came a long way)
From where we began (you know we began)
Oh, I'll tell you all about it when I see you again (I'll tell you)
When I see you again
First, you both go out your way and the vibe is feeling strong
And what's small turned to a friendship, a friendship turned to a bond
And that bond will never be broken, the love will never get lost
(The love will never get lost)
And when brotherhood comes first, then the line will never be crossed
Established it on our own when that line had to be drawn
And that line is what we reached, so remember me when I'm gone
(Remember me when I'm gone)
The question posed by the program is:
“In this part of song, I have used a synonym for the word 'friendship'. Can you tell me which word it is?”
(Translation: In the song excerpt, I used a synonym for the word "friendship". Can you tell me what word it is? )
In this question, contestant Vu Nguyen Son did not give an answer. Then, contestant Bui Anh Duc (student of Son La Specialized High School, Son La province) took the right to answer and gave the answer "Bond" .
The answer the show gave at that time was "Brotherhood" .
Right at the time of the live broadcast, the program did not accept Bui Anh Duc's answer and deducted 15 points from this contestant.
After the program ended, the organizers said they had checked with the English advisor and the advisor accepted Bui Anh Duc's answer as "Bond".
So there are two correct answers to this question: "Bond" and "Brotherhood" . "Bui Anh Duc's answer is completely correct", the program's correction announcement stated.
Fortunately, the adjusted scores did not change the rankings of the contestants in the final round of the year and the program's Organizing Committee also issued a correction and apology; however, many viewers believe that these mistakes can affect the contestants' psychology, and can even completely change the outcome of the match when the contestants are excited by the extra points at such times.
