First time holding Flower Street Tea Festival

On October 26, Hai Ha district ( Quang Ninh province) held the opening ceremony of the 2024 Flower Road Tea Festival at the tea field in village 8, Quang Long commune (Hai Ha district).

From 2018 to 2023, the Duong Hoa Tea Cultural Tourism Festival is held annually by Quang Long commune to promote and honor the values ​​of the Duong Hoa tea brand.

In 2024, this communal cultural and tourism event was developed by Hai Ha district and upgraded to the Duong Hoa Tea Festival with a larger scale and more interesting and attractive activities. This shows the district's special interest in the Duong Hoa tea brand in particular and tea plants in general. This is also the first time Hai Ha district has organized the Duong Hoa Tea Festival.

The highlight of the 2024 Duong Hoa Tea Festival is the rituals such as: Carrying water from the source, carrying ancient tea trees, and watering the "birth" of tea trees. These are all symbolic activities, expressing the honor, respect and preservation of traditional tea trees. In particular, the ceremony of handing over tea seedlings to the younger generation demonstrates the determination to preserve the quintessence and foster the sustainable development of the Hai Ha tea region, constantly affirming the quality, brand and position of Duong Hoa tea in the domestic and foreign markets.

Within the framework of the festival, there will also be a special art program to promote the history, culture, land and people of Hai Ha district. At the same time, it will introduce the formation and development of the tea growing area and the Duong Hoa tea brand along with tea making art performances and Ao Dai costumes.

Tea is the main crop of Hai Ha district. This is also the largest tea area of ​​Quang Ninh province with about 800 hectares of tea growing area. Of which, the famous Duong Hoa tea tree has a history of 60 years of development in Hai Ha land. Duong Hoa tea products are not only consumed domestically but are currently being exported to foreign markets.
