Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Quang Binh, Professional Director of Tam Anh General Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City and Master, Dr. Giang Huynh Nhu, Director of the Center for Reproductive Support, Tam Anh General Hospital System, Ho Chi Minh City, both received the Asian Record certificate.
According to the representative of Asia Book of Records (ABR), Dr. Biswaroop Roy Chowdhury, President of World Book of Records, Tam Anh General Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City has made outstanding contributions to the field of assisted reproduction in Vietnam. In the context of the rapidly increasing demand for in vitro fertilization (IVF) in Asia as well as around the world, this achievement has special significance for society, deserving to be awarded an Asian record.
Before announcing the Asian record, ABR compared it with other record systems, and the Medical Advisory Council, consisting of doctors and medical experts from many countries, reviewed all the evidence and made a decision to qualify Tam Anh General Hospital for the record.
"The record-setting process was carried out systematically, scientifically and transparently based on independently collected data, detailed on the embryology lab system of the Center for Reproductive Support, Tam Anh General Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City, cross-checking many steps, from lab design, operating procedures, IVF success rate, to safety indicators and service quality..., and comparing with international standards," said Professor, Academician Hoang Quang Thuan, representative of the World Record Alliance's Board of Directors.
Master Nguyen Ngoc Quynh, Head of Lab, Center for Reproductive Support, Tam Anh General Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City received the Vietnam Record Certificate for the first hospital to build an embryology lab system that meets ISO 5 standards according to the lab model in
ISO 5 standard embryology lab system following the "lab in lab" model
The embryology lab system of Tam Anh General Hospital also set a Vietnamese record, being the first hospital to build an embryology lab system that meets ISO 5 standards according to the "lab in lab" model, applied in gamete manipulation and embryo culture.
The design of a lab-in-a-lab with an ISO 5 embryo culture room inside an ISO 6 embryo and gamete operation room is a special design that separates the operation area from the culture area, thereby increasing the ability to stabilize the surrounding environment, helping the embryo and gamete develop best. IVF Tam Anh Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam is the first pioneer in this unique design.
IVF Tam Anh invests heavily and synchronously develops modern machinery and equipment.
MSc. Dr. Giang Huynh Nhu, Director of Tam Anh IVF Center in Ho Chi Minh City, who is also the first scientist and expert in the world to pioneer in "conceiving", designing, building and operating the "lab-in-a-lab" system, said that maintaining an ISO 5 standard IVF lab poses many challenges in actual operation. However, for 5 consecutive years, the Embryology Lab of Tam Anh General Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City has always been recognized with ISO Class 5 standard for air quality, inspected by the Pasteur Institute.
According to Associate Professor Le Hoang, Director of IVF Center Tam Anh Hanoi , the technology for examining and treating infertility in the world is increasingly developing rapidly. IVF Tam Anh proactively approaches and masters the latest technologies, creating opportunities for patients to use many new drugs, examination technologies, and new treatment strategies with an important goal: not only helping patients get pregnant, but also aiming for a gentle, simple, cost-saving treatment experience, especially effective and giving birth to healthy babies.
Every year, modern techniques and technology at IVF Tam Anh help thousands of infertile couples successfully give birth to healthy children.
Statistics from 2021 - 2024, the cumulative pregnancy results for all patient groups at IVF Tam Anh Ho Chi Minh City have increased over the years, averaging up to 80.1%, of which in the group of patients under 28 years old, this rate is up to 86.9%. In particular, in the group of patients who have failed many times, the average cumulative success results are up to 71.9%. This is a very encouraging number, creating strong motivation for infertile couples with poor prognosis, to have a healthy child even with only one embryo.
During the "Tam Anh IVF Golden Election Day", which took place in early June 2025, the Hospital organized a free general health check-up for hundreds of babies born from IUI/IVF techniques at the Tam Anh IVF System. The results confirmed that 100% of the babies were recorded to have normal development, no health abnormalities, and the rate of minor illnesses was lower than the average of Vietnamese children.
Every year, modern techniques and technology at IVF Tam Anh help thousands of infertile couples successfully give birth to healthy children.
Infertility is a huge burden on the patient's economy, health and spirit. Currently, the field of assisted reproductive treatment is not yet supported by health insurance payment. At Tam Anh Hospital, through modern treatment strategies, protocols and technologies, the Hospital will calculate the most effective, minimize costs and optimize treatment effectiveness for patients.
