Spreading green lifestyle through exchanging waste for gifts

Tam Hiep Ward Youth Union recently coordinated with the Green Dong Nai volunteer group to organize a program to exchange old batteries and recycled waste for gifts at Tam Hiep A Primary School (in Tam Hiep Ward).

The program attracted a large number of members, youth and people from all walks of life. After one session, the Organizing Committee received more than 400kg of waste paper, old books and newspapers; over 600 soft drink cans of various types, 23kg of plastic bottles and more than 72kg of used batteries.

This is an activity organized annually by the Ward Youth Union to raise awareness among union members, youth and the community about environmental protection, especially reducing plastic waste, encouraging the collection and classification of recyclable and reusable waste; at the same time, gradually building a sustainable green lifestyle, changing consumer habits...
