In Ninh Binh , the movement to build "Learning Families" (GĐHT), "Learning Clans" (DHHT), and "Learning Communities" (CĐHT) in the province has gradually gone into depth and achieved many remarkable results, contributing to building a learning society (XHHT).
Mr. Nguyen Manh Truong, Chairman of the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education, said: Implementing Decision No. 281, under the leadership and direction of the Central Vietnam Association for Promotion of Education , the Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education has developed a plan to direct the Associations for Promotion of Education in districts and cities to propagate and mobilize clans to register to build DHHT.
Promoting the tradition of studiousness, clans in the province have actively promoted and organized activities for families to participate in regular learning, lifelong learning "learning whatever is needed", in order to promote the studiousness movement and improve professional qualifications, skills, have the capacity to develop production, improve skills, improve the quality of life, and ensure sustainable development of society.
Summarizing 5 years of implementing Decision No. 281, the whole province has 2,018 clans recognized with the title of DHHT, reaching 76% of the total number of clans. There have been nearly 2,000 typical models and clans in localities that have been promoted as exemplary models and have been commended and rewarded by all levels.
Promoting the achieved results, from 2022, when Decision No. 387/QD-TTg, dated March 25, 2022 of the Prime Minister approved the Program "Promoting lifelong learning movement in families, clans, communities, and units for the period 2021-2030" (Decision 387), with higher criteria, has encouraged clans to continue to compete and strive to implement.
Accordingly, from the beginning of 2022, when Decision 387 began to be implemented, 1,801 clans registered to build DHHT, reaching a rate of 74%. The year-end assessment results showed that the number of clans achieving the title of DHHT was 1,518, reaching 63% of the total number of clans, exceeding the plan set by the Association for Promotion of Education. The results of the classification of exemplary DHHT in 2022 showed that 314 clans achieved the title of exemplary, reaching a rate of 12%.
The Nguyen Tu family, Thu Dien village, Ninh Nhat commune (Ninh Binh city) is a family with a tradition of mandarin examinations with a history of over 300 years. Currently, the family has more than 520 households, with more than 2,000 people, living, studying and working in many localities across the country. The Nguyen Tu family has a tradition of studiousness. During the feudal period, the family had 18 people holding high positions and making many contributions to their homeland and country.
Continuing the tradition of their ancestors, responding to the movement to build a learning community, the members of the clan constantly strive and compete to achieve specific goals and criteria to build a typical learning community. The members and families in the clan look at successful examples, with high social status thanks to their academic achievements, to invest, care for, and raise their children to be obedient and good at studying. 100% of the families in the clan have responded to building learning families and learning citizens.
Up to now, the Nguyen Tu family has 3 professors, 2 associate professors, 14 doctors, 57 masters, 508 people with university degrees, 1 information technology knight voted as one of the 10 typical faces of the country in 2016. The family has also built its own bookcase about the family tradition. In the construction of new rural areas in the locality, the Nguyen Tu family has supported over 1 billion VND and many working days in the locality. Currently, 100% of the children in the family of school age are able to go to school, and more and more students are achieving excellent results in their studies.
In the Do Bong Hai clan, Khanh Thien commune (Yen Khanh district), the work of encouraging learning, encouraging talents (KHKT), and building a cooperative society has been widely spread for many years, attracting the enthusiastic participation of clan members. Not only voluntarily contributing to the clan's Learning Promotion Fund, families are always interested in creating the best conditions for their children to study and practice. Currently, the clan's fund has over 180 million VND, an increase of over 80 million VND compared to 2014.
Mr. Do Ngoc Han, Head of the Do Family Education Promotion Board in Bong Hai, Khanh Thien Commune (Yen Khanh District) said: With the spiritual and material care and encouragement of the Family Education Promotion Board, many families have overcome difficulties to raise their children to study and become successful. The family currently has 249 families, with 769 people. To date, the family has hundreds of successful children, with 1 associate professor, 6 doctors, 8 businessmen, 18 masters, 10 general directors, nearly 50 police and military officers...
Not only caring for their children's education, the Do Bong Hai family has also made many contributions, taking the lead in local emulation movements, typically in the construction of new rural areas, donating 450m2 of land to expand roads. Children in the family have supported the construction of welfare projects and support for disadvantaged families, humanitarian charity funds, and local disaster and epidemic prevention funds, with a total amount of nearly 1.5 billion VND.
In 2021, Khanh Thien commune selected the Do Bong Hai clan as a model DHHT construction site. From 2014-2023, the clan was recognized as a DHHT by the People's Committee of the commune; in 2021 and 2022, the clan was recognized as a model DHHT. The clan was also awarded the Golden Board for Learning Promotion and the National Outstanding Golden Cup by the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education, along with many Certificates of Merit from all levels and sectors.
According to Mr. Nguyen Manh Truong, Chairman of the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education, currently, each clan in the province has its own form of promoting education, but all have the same goal of nurturing and promoting the spirit of learning in their family and clan. At the same time, families and clans are also interested in and consciously linking the movement to build a cultural life with the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life", the movement "Building new rural areas, civilized urban areas"... in the locality.
The success in implementing the movement to build a learning society in Ninh Binh province in recent years has promoted the movement of science and technology, building a learning society in clans and localities, creating conditions for individuals and families to participate in regular learning activities, lifelong learning, contributing to improving people's knowledge, training human resources, and nurturing talents for the homeland and the country.
