The Central Electricity Industry promotes propaganda activities to guide people to use electricity economically and effectively.
Synchronous solution, clear efficiency
Implementing Prime Minister 's Directive No. 20 on enhancing electricity saving in the 2023-2025 period, EVNCPC has proactively deployed many synchronous solutions, from operations to community communication.
Since the beginning of the year, the Steering Committee for ensuring electricity supply has been established, headed by the General Director of EVNCPC. A series of solutions have been directed to the affiliated power companies, including: Reviewing key energy-using facilities; making a list of important customers to submit to the Provincial People's Committees for approval; signing electricity saving commitments with many customer groups.
In the first 6 months of 2025 alone, 295,941 non-residential customers signed commitments and agreements to save electricity, with the committed electricity output saving up to 343.9 million kWh. The actual result achieved was 318.98 million kWh, equivalent to 2.45% of commercial electricity output, exceeding the minimum target of 2% set by the Government . Notably, all customer groups met the saving target.
In addition to applying management and technical measures, EVNCPC pays special attention to raising public awareness through diverse communication activities, spreading the culture of saving electricity in the community. In the first 6 months of the year, the Corporation coordinated with press agencies to produce 427 articles on efficient and economical use of electricity. The "Electricity Saving" section on the EVNCPC website published 61 articles, promptly reflecting good practices and creative saving models from the grassroots level.
Social media platforms also maximized their effectiveness: the EVNCPC fanpage posted 25 articles in the form of video clips and infographics; the group "Central Power Construction" had 36 posts and 14 video clips; the group "EVNCPC - Connecting Colleagues" also had dozens of articles with diverse and vivid content.
In particular, the Earth Hour 2025 campaign launched by EVNCPC in its units has attracted the active participation of employees and the community. Activities such as running races, bicycle parades, online competitions on efficient energy use, etc. were held simultaneously in provinces and cities. In just 1 hour of the Earth Hour event (8:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. on March 22), the amount of electricity saved reached 51,850 kWh, a meaningful number.

Sharing about the positive results achieved in the first half of 2025, Mr. Le Hoang Anh Dung, Deputy General Director of EVNCPC affirmed: "Electricity saving is not only the task of the electricity industry, but also the responsibility of the whole community. The good news is that the awareness of using electricity economically and efficiently has really penetrated the behavior of people and businesses in the Central Highlands. This companionship is a solid foundation to help EVNCPC ensure safe, stable electricity supply, sustainable development in the context of increasing electricity demand and the trend of green energy transition".
EVNCPC Deputy General Director said that, not stopping at achieving targets, the Corporation aims to build a culture of energy saving where every small action from people and businesses contributes to creating great efficiency for the country. With impressive results in the first 6 months of the year, EVNCPC has promptly developed a specific action plan for the last months of 2025. The focus is on continuing to closely coordinate with localities to promote electricity supply and solutions for economical and safe electricity use; strengthening communication forms towards people in remote areas, workers, students, etc.; promoting digital transformation in monitoring and consulting on electricity use; expanding digital platform application tools to support people in monitoring electricity consumption and proactively adjusting electricity use behavior...
In the context of increasingly complex climate change, the economy continues to develop with increasing energy demand, saving electricity is not only an immediate task, but also a long-term solution to ensure enough electricity for daily life and production, thereby contributing to ensuring national energy security, sustainable development and enhancing business competitiveness.
318.98 million kWh of electricity saved in the first 6 months of 2025 is not only a telling number, but also a testament to the joint efforts of the electricity industry and the people of the Central Highlands. Through specific and practical actions, EVNCPC is contributing to building the habit of saving electricity in every family, agency, and business. Because saving electricity today not only helps reduce costs, but is also a way to preserve energy resources for the future.
