At this time of year, hundreds of flower varieties bloom simultaneously, creating a vibrant and lively atmosphere along the Tien River.

According to VTC News reporters, the weather in Sa Dec at the end of the year is cool in the morning, with gentle sunshine in the afternoon and evening, favorable for sightseeing and photography.

Many tourists, especially young people, choose to wear the traditional Southern Vietnamese outfit of "áo bà ba" (a type of blouse) and checkered scarf to take photos and capture memorable moments amidst the flower-filled landscape.

The flower village also attracts many photographers who come to capture images.

Sa Dec Flower Village is located about 150 km from Ho Chi Minh City, and visitors can travel there by motorbike or bus. Most flower gardens offer free entry or charge an entrance fee of 20,000 - 50,000 VND per person.

Besides sightseeing and taking photos, visitors can also buy flowers directly from the garden, helping the gardeners sell their products during peak season.

One of the distinctive features of Sa Dec flower village is its model of growing flowers on water. Flower pots are placed on elevated platforms, with a network of canals and waterways below. To care for the flowers, growers have to wade through the water or paddle boats, creating a characteristic image of labor in this region. The experience of riding a boat through the flower beds is now a popular choice for many tourists.

According to flower growers, farmers usually water the flowers twice a day to keep them fresh longer and bloom in time for Tet (Vietnamese Lunar New Year).

This year, flowers such as red, orange, and purple chrysanthemums, and petunias are being chosen by many gardeners due to good market demand. Purchasing power during the Tet holiday is considered stable and more promising than last year.

Sa Dec Flower Village has a history of over 100 years, situated along the Tien River with a total area of ​​nearly 1,000 hectares. Starting with roses, it now cultivates hundreds of varieties of flowers and ornamental plants , including flowers for landscaping and high-value ornamental trees.

Currently, Sa Dec ward has approximately 4,000 households producing flowers and ornamental plants, covering an area of ​​nearly 946 hectares; more than 200 business establishments and about 2,000 different types of flowers and ornamental plants.

Each year, the locality supplies the market with approximately 15 million flower and ornamental plant products. Beyond just agricultural production, the "flower cultivation and tourism" model is being actively promoted by the people of Sa Dec.

Opening the flower gardens to visitors is seen as an innovative approach, contributing to diversifying livelihoods, increasing production value, and gradually building Sa Dec flower village into a distinctive tourist destination of Dong Thap province, aiming for sustainable development in the future.
