Listen to the workers' concerns.

The self-governing groups for workers' dormitories serve as a bridge for the Provincial Labor Federation to promptly listen to the thoughts and aspirations of workers and laborers, and to care for their lives. This model contributes to building a close relationship between workers and laborers, the Trade Union, and the local government.

In 2026, the Provincial Labor Union will strengthen and improve the operation and establish new self-governing groups for workers' dormitories to create a bridge connecting with workers living and working in these dormitories. In April, the Provincial Labor Union restructured and strengthened the Kim Anh Workers' Dormitory Self-Governing Group in Binh Hoa commune and established a new self-governing group for the Truong Thanh Workers' Dormitory in Thanh Loc commune, in conjunction with organizing the "Visiting Workers' Dormitories" program to spread the significance of the model.

The "Visiting Workers' Dormitories" program is one of the highlights in the activities of the self-governing workers' dormitory group. Having had the opportunity to participate in the "Visiting Workers' Dormitories" program organized by the Provincial Labor Federation at Truong Thanh workers' dormitory, Hoa Loc hamlet, Thanh Loc commune, we felt the humane and practical significance of the program.

After a hard day's work, workers and laborers have the opportunity to meet and enjoy cultural performances in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The "homegrown" performances, though simple, contain genuine emotions, reflecting the solidarity and zest for life of the workers. This is not only an opportunity for entertainment but also a bridge to connect and motivate each worker to love their job and life even more.

Workers also participated in a quiz game on labor law, workplace safety, and social life, and received gifts from the Provincial Labor Union. Representatives from the Thạnh Lộc Commune Police informed about the security and order situation in the locality in general and in the lodging area in particular. They also shared measures for workers to prevent and combat crime and ensure security and order in the lodging area.

In a joyful and warm atmosphere, trade union officials met with, visited, listened to the concerns of workers, and encouraged them to work hard for a better life. Mr. Nguyen Minh Phuc, a worker at Hwaseung Rach Gia Co., Ltd., shared: “I am very happy and excited to participate in the ‘Visiting Workers’ Dormitory’ program. I sincerely thank the Provincial Labor Federation for organizing meaningful activities, always caring for and supporting workers, and giving practical gifts to give us more joy and motivation to work and stabilize our lives.”

According to the Provincial Labor Union, after consolidation, restructuring, and new establishment, the self-governing groups of workers' dormitories, in coordination with functional agencies and local authorities, have organized many practical activities for workers to build a close relationship between workers and the Labor Union and local authorities. In addition, they cooperate with local authorities and the education sector to support and facilitate access to education for workers' children, enabling them to participate in recreational activities and summer programs organized by the locality. At the same time, they monitor and understand public opinion among workers to promptly address their concerns and limit negative reactions that could affect security, order, and the socio-economic development of the locality.

Mr. Do Tran Thinh, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and Chairman of the Provincial Labor Union, shared that the establishment of self-governing groups for workers' dormitories and the implementation of the model "Warm and compassionate dormitories, saying no to negativity and social evils" has significant and profound humanitarian meaning. The core members in charge of these self-governing groups serve as a bridge and an extension of the Labor Union in the dormitory area. There, each person is both a participant and a guardian of security and order, preventing and combating social evils; caring for, sharing with, and helping each other overcome difficulties in life.

“The trade union will always stand alongside and connect with the government and businesses to support workers in difficult times, protecting their legitimate rights and interests. To ensure the effectiveness of the self-governing workers' dormitory groups, I hope each worker will start with small things like maintaining general hygiene, adhering to schedules, avoiding social vices, and most importantly, always showing care, sharing, and encouragement so that they can work with peace of mind and remain committed in the long term,” Mr. Do Tran Thinh affirmed.
