Besides highlighting some outstanding achievements in the city's socio-economic development with stable growth, City Party Secretary Nguyen Dinh Trung acknowledged and highly appreciated the noble humanitarian deeds of Buddhism in social charity activities, especially the spirit of selflessness and mutual support during the recent natural disasters and floods.

On the same day, the Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, Nguyen Chi Tai, visited prominent religious leaders: Venerable Thich Khe Chon (Thien Minh Pagoda) and Venerable Thich Giac Quang (Bao Lam Pagoda) on the occasion of the Grand Ceremony.
