Leaders of Dong Thap and Vinh Long provinces visited and presented gifts to workers constructing Rach Mieu 2 bridge

(DTO) On the afternoon of August 1, the delegation of leaders of Dong Thap and Vinh Long provinces visited and presented gifts to encourage workers who are working day and night to construct the Rach Mieu 2 Bridge Project, a key national project that people in the two provinces are looking forward to.

At the construction site, the delegation of leaders of the two provinces were delighted to witness the Rach Mieu 2 Bridge gradually taking shape with modern and spacious architectural features. The project not only ensures technical standards, but also demonstrates aesthetics, promising to become a new symbol connecting the two banks of the Tien River.

The delegation expressed satisfaction with the construction progress and quality of the project; at the same time, thanked all the staff, workers and engineers who worked tirelessly to bring the project to the finish line on schedule.

The delegation of leaders of the two provinces gave gifts to encourage the workers' spirit.

"Rach Mieu 2 Bridge is not only the pride of the people of the two provinces, but also the dream of many generations to come true. We hope that the project will soon be completed and put into use, contributing to promoting the socio -economic development of the locality, creating new momentum for the Mekong Delta region" - leaders of the two provinces shared.

During the visit, the leaders of My Thuan Project Management Board reported in detail on the construction status before "G hour". Accordingly, all items are being implemented vigorously, ensuring quality and labor safety. Construction units have mobilized maximum human resources and machinery to complete the final tasks.

On the afternoon of August 1, workers were still working hard.

In particular, the delegation presented meaningful gifts to workers directly involved in the construction, demonstrating the local government's concern and encouragement for the workers.

The opening ceremony of Rach Mieu 2 Bridge is expected to be held on August 19.

After nearly 5 years of construction with a total investment of 6,810.11 billion VND, Rach Mieu 2 cable-stayed bridge connecting Dong Thap and Vinh Long provinces is about to be completed. This is a key traffic project contributing to connecting the Western provinces, promoting the socio-economic development of the Mekong Delta region.
