Provincial leaders work with leaders of Wahba Institute for Strategic Competitiveness and Boston Global Forum

On the afternoon of September 4, Mr. Le Huu Hoang - Standing Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee chaired a working session with Mr. Mark Kennedy - Director of Wahba Institute for Strategic Competitiveness, Wilson Center, Washington DC and Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Director of Boston Global Forum.

At the meeting, the provincial leaders introduced the potentials and strengths of Khanh Hoa; thereby providing the province's future development orientation. Representatives of the Wahba Institute for Strategic Competitiveness and the Boston Global Forum hope to work with Khanh Hoa province to build trust in the partnership with the United States; create a bridge in promoting investment between US and Khanh Hoa enterprises. In the coming time, the Wahba Institute for Strategic Competitiveness and the Boston Global Forum will act as a bridge to call on large organizations and enterprises in the world to support and invest in finance and transport infrastructure for the province. In addition, the Wahba Institute for Strategic Competitiveness also wants to support Khanh Hoa in the field of education to create local human resources, nurture talent to serve the province's development; ready to support the province in green transformation; build seaports and liquefied gas transport ports.

Provincial leaders presented souvenirs to representatives of the Wahba Institute for Strategic Competitiveness and the Boston Global Forum.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Le Huu Hoang thanked and accepted the issues mentioned by Mr. Mark Kennedy and Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan. Based on the development orientation of the province, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee hopes that Mr. Mark Kennedy, through the Wahba Institute for Strategic Competitiveness, will introduce the potential, advantages, and specific mechanisms of Khanh Hoa province to US investors in general and Washington DC in particular. The province hopes to call on US investors to be interested in investing in Khanh Hoa in the industrial sector in Nam Van Phong, projects on seaports, logistics, petrochemical industrial parks, renewable energy (hydrogen/offshore wind power), high-tech processing and manufacturing; information technology, semiconductors; biotechnology... The province also hopes to receive support from the US Government and businesses in the fields of scientific research, innovation, and exchange of cooperation opportunities in the fields of human resource development, creative education, etc.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Planning and Investment to receive proposals from representatives of the Wahba Institute for Strategic Competitiveness and the Boston Global Forum; and requested relevant departments and branches to coordinate to implement cooperation as soon as possible.
