In An Khe ward, the delegation visited An Khe Sugar Factory of Quang Ngai Sugar Joint Stock Company - a multi-industry and multi-field business enterprise (agricultural processing industry, food and beverage industry).

In Gia Lai province, after 25 years of operation, from a factory with a processing capacity of only 2,000 tons of sugarcane/day, with a white sugar production line, the Company has now built a large-scale sugarcane - sugar - biomass electricity processing cluster, including: An Khe Sugar Factory, An Khe Biomass Electricity Factory, An Khe Agricultural Mechanization Enterprise, Gia Lai Sugarcane Research and Application Center.

Of which, An Khe Sugar Factory has a capacity of pressing 18,000 tons of sugarcane/day, sugar refining capacity of 1,000 tons of sugar/day; the annual processed sugar output accounts for over 20% of the country's sugar output. In the 2024-2025 pressing season alone, the processed sugar output will reach 243,000 tons.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan assessed that the land in the western region of Gia Lai province has soil that is especially suitable for the growth and development of sugarcane.

In the coming time, the Company will focus on implementing 3 projects with a total investment of over 3,700 billion VND, including: An Khe Sugar Factory expansion project to increase the capacity of 25,000 tons of sugarcane/day; An Khe Biomass Power Plant expansion project to increase the capacity of 135 MW - adding a 3rd unit - capacity of 40 MW; An Khe Ethanol Factory investment project.

Speaking at the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Ho Quoc Dung highly appreciated the potential of Quang Ngai Sugar Joint Stock Company and placed expectations on the projects the Company is preparing to invest in Gia Lai province.

Provincial Party Secretary Ho Quoc Dung hopes that the Company will continue to exploit the strengths of the sugarcane raw material area in the West of Gia Lai, meet the sugarcane consumption needs of farmers, ensure stable and sustainable development; continue to expand sugarcane varieties with high productivity and quality and invest in machinery and equipment, strongly apply science and technology in the sugarcane raw material area of ​​An Khe Sugar Factory; exploit and deeply process sugarcane to create high-value products... At the same time, he requested departments and branches to create maximum conditions within the legal framework, promptly remove arising problems and obstacles in administrative procedures; guide and support enterprises to complete the land transfer to ensure the rights and aspirations of the people, helping enterprises to soon implement the project.

In Mang Yang commune, the delegation visited NutiMilk Dairy Farm of Nutifood Nutrition Food Joint Stock Company. Currently, the farm has a total herd of 12,000 cows, including 5,500 milking cows; the average output is 175 tons/day. The company aims to increase the total herd from 12,000 to 30,000 cows, becoming one of the largest and most modern farms in Vietnam.

The farm pays special attention to applying technology to improve the production capacity of dairy cows such as: calf pen system, cooling - sprinkler, automatic manure scraping, cow bedding; lab room to analyze raw milk indicators at the farm, SCR-Israel herd management system; veterinary management software... The professional level of the team of experts and engineers is also constantly improved with the goal of "continuously learning and improving to be able to master dairy farming technology".

Provincial Party Secretary Ho Quoc Dung acknowledged and highly appreciated the development of NutiMilk Dairy Farm in recent years and welcomed the enterprise's orientation to expand the scale of livestock farming. At the same time, he hoped that the unit would create conditions for connecting and supporting people to participate in the raw material growing chain, transforming livestock farming models, green and circular production, contributing to creating jobs, increasing income for people and actively contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality.
