On May 31st, Comrade Nguyen Hong Phong, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council of Thanh Hoa, visited and presented gifts to children with special circumstances who are being cared for and educated at the Hoi Long Pagoda Social Charity Center.

The Hoi Long Pagoda Social Charity Center, under the Social Charity Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of Thanh Hoa province, currently cares for 25 children with special circumstances and provides scholarships to 50 orphans and children from disadvantaged backgrounds in various localities.

Visiting the social charity facility, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council of Thanh Hoa Province praised and highly appreciated the important contributions of the Social Charity Center and Hoi Long Pagoda, along with Buddhist followers and volunteers, who have played a good role as a bridge, mobilizing organizations and individuals to join hands in nurturing and educating children with special circumstances, supporting orphans and children in difficult circumstances, and carrying out many activities of gratitude and charity.

The comrade presented gifts to the children being cared for and educated at the facility and encouraged them to be united, love each other, be well-behaved, study hard, and strive to become good children, excellent students, and useful citizens for society.

Comrade Nguyen Hong Phong emphasized that, with the spirit of "protecting the nation and ensuring the people's well-being," and "Buddhism accompanying the nation," Hoi Long Pagoda has become a positive factor in fostering social morality, consolidating national unity, and expressed his hope that the pagoda will continue to improve the quality of childcare and education, encourage Buddhist followers to live "a good life and a virtuous life," actively participate in patriotic emulation movements, and contribute to social welfare; upholding the tradition of solidarity, and continuing to work alongside the Party Committee, government, the Fatherland Front, and political and social organizations in building Hoang Thanh commune in particular, and Thanh Hoa province in general, into an increasingly developed, civilized, modern, compassionate, and happy place.

The commune needs to continue effectively implementing policies and laws on the protection, care, and education of children; diversifying and enriching forms and content of propaganda, mobilizing the participation of the whole society in caring for children through specific and practical actions, and considering this a central and long-term task. Through this, it will help children have a happy living environment, a bright and beautiful childhood, and always be good children, good students, and good grandchildren of Uncle Ho.
