That is the assessment of representatives of the Japanese and Korean Embassies at the Job Fair for EPS workers and IM JaPan interns returning home.
On the morning of November 8, in Hanoi , the Hanoi Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs directed the Hanoi Employment Service Center to coordinate with the Overseas Labor Center (Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs) to organize a Job Fair for EPS workers (Vietnamese workers licensed to work in Korea) and IM Japan interns (Vietnamese technical interns working in Japan) returning home.
Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyen Ba Hoan attended and spoke at the program.
Create job opportunities and income to stabilize life after returning home
Participating in the fair were 45 enterprises recruiting on the Hanoi Job Exchange system, including 12 enterprises with Korean investment capital and 7 enterprises with Japanese investment capital.
The total demand for recruitment and labor export includes 1,337 targets, mainly focusing on occupations such as: Production management, translation - interpretation, CNC engineering, electronic production workers, mechanics - welding, electricity - electronics, machine operators...
The program was attended by international delegates, including: Mr. Baek Seok Hyun, Labor Attaché of the Korean Embassy in Vietnam; Mr. Ishii Chikahisa, First Secretary of the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam; Ms. Yun Jea Yeon, Chief Representative of the Human Resources Development Service Office of Korea (HRD Korea) in Vietnam...
Speaking at the program, Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyen Ba Hoan informed: “Sending Vietnamese workers to work abroad under contracts is a major policy of the Party and State to solve employment, increase income for workers, and at the same time contribute to improving the quality of human resources and international integration.
Workers working abroad have higher incomes than those doing the same job in the country; contribute significantly to the country's foreign currency resources, increase savings and improve the lives of workers and their families.
In addition to increasing income for themselves and their families, workers can improve their skills, accumulate work experience, professional skills, sense of discipline, work style and foreign language proficiency, work attitude and social knowledge.
This labor force, after returning home, becomes a resource for domestic economic and social development and is an important factor in spreading industrial style, labor discipline and a cultural bridge between Vietnam and the world.
“Supporting and introducing jobs for workers returning from working abroad is one of the important and humane solutions that the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs always pays attention to, with the aim of creating opportunities for workers to find jobs and have income to stabilize their lives after returning home,” Deputy Minister Nguyen Ba Hoan emphasized.
Skilled labor source for the labor market
Here, international delegates highly appreciated the effectiveness of the program sending Vietnamese workers to work in Korea and Japan under the EPS and IM Japan programs.
According to representatives of these agencies, Vietnam is one of the countries with the largest number of workers among the countries sending workers to Japan and Korea.
Commenting on the human resources of Vietnamese workers, representatives of these agencies all assessed that Vietnamese people are hard-working, have many good qualities and abilities, always strive to learn and constantly develop themselves.
Also at the program, Mr. Nguyen Tay Nam, Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Hanoi City shared: The workers sent to work in Korea and Japan under the EPS and IM Japan programs are skilled workers, with foreign language proficiency, as well as a lot of experience working abroad.
“Consulting and supporting job referrals for this force contributes to providing a highly skilled workforce for the labor market. At the same time, it supports foreign-invested enterprises in Vietnam to find a source of highly skilled, experienced, and qualified human resources to meet the requirements of production and business activities,” said Mr. Nguyen Tay Nam.
Mr. Pham Van Chien, Production Director of Minh Quang Trading and Technology Co., Ltd., one of 45 units participating in recruiting workers at the job fair, shared that the company is in the process of expanding production, so it needs to recruit many job positions with diverse income levels from 8 to 20 million VND.
“In particular, the company also targets workers who have worked in Japan and Korea and returned to Vietnam. In my opinion, Japan and Korea are countries with developed science, and workers who return to Vietnam from these countries are experienced and qualified, especially highly disciplined.
For that reason, I believe that if we can recruit the above workers, we will meet the company's work needs, thereby helping the company to grow more and more."
