In Ca Mau province alone, digital transformation efforts have yielded many encouraging results. The province has officially incorporated digitized land data into administrative procedures related to residency; effectively utilizing digitized civil registry data, reducing the need for paper submissions when obtaining copies of civil registry extracts, regardless of place of residence or previous registration. As a result, administrative procedures are streamlined and efficient, data is shared and reused across sectors, contributing to saving time and travel costs for citizens.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung emphasized: With the theme "Faster, more efficient, closer to the people," this year's National Digital Transformation Day has special significance, aiming to raise social awareness of the role of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation, bringing digital transformation into real life and providing practical benefits to people, businesses, and society as a whole.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested that in the coming period, ministries, sectors, and localities should continue to improve institutions, promptly guide and implement the Laws on Science and Technology and Digital Transformation passed by the National Assembly; and at the same time, promote the popularization of digital identity, striving to ensure that by 2026, 100% of adults have digital identity, payment accounts, and public service accounts. The goal is to ensure that citizens truly become the center of digital transformation, not only as beneficiaries but also as creators and disseminators of digital values in all aspects of life.
At the same time, we must promote the comprehensive application of digital technology and synchronously connect the national database system. A crucial task in this is opening up data and sharing knowledge, ensuring that public data is widely and transparently utilized.
“ In particular, the most important measure must be tangible effectiveness, not how many systems are built, but how many people benefit, how many labor hours are saved. The ultimate goal should be measurable effectiveness. Every public official and citizen needs to become a true ‘digital citizen,’ knowing how to use, exploit, and create value in the digital space, while complying with the law, ethical standards, and culture in the digital environment,” the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee of the National Digital Transformation Day honored outstanding collectives and individuals in the field of digital transformation, and also announced the ranking of the level of digital transformation of provinces and centrally-administered cities.
