Creative Design Festival 2024 with many unique heritage experiences

A series of outstanding events and activities with the theme "Creative Crossroads" within the framework of the Creative Design Festival 2024 will take place from November 9-17, organized by the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports .

The main area of ​​the festival is the creative experience route of August Revolution Square (traffic island in front of the Opera House) with 2 axes North-South (Ly Thai To Street - Le Thanh Tong Street) and East-West (Bac Co Slope - Trang Tien Street).

This space has many famous architectural heritages such as: Hanoi Children's Palace (Au Tri Vien), Government Guest House (Bac Bo Phu), Opera House, National History Museum, University and flower gardens of Opera House, Co Tan, Dien Hong, Tao Dan, Ly Thai To... will be the space for the Festival activities.

Hanoi Children's Palace is both the starting point of the experience route and also the place where many cultural and creative events take place with the most dense exhibitions and discussions on visual arts such as: Cheo Meo exhibition introducing works of autistic children, Diem Phung Thi alphabet playground, painting competition on the yard; screenings and discussions on cinema such as: Discussion "Culi Khong Bao Nhat Cry" about the city as a movie character; Discussion on Building the image of Hanoi in cinema through the ages...

Meanwhile, the National History Museum is the venue for fashion shows by research units, restoration of ancient costumes and music practice. In addition to music and fashion shows, the Opera House will have a parade to honor and promote 7 creative fields including: handicrafts and folk arts, design, film, cuisine, literature, traditional arts and music.

This “creative axis” ends at Hanoi National University (formerly General University) with a space displaying a cluster of unique interactive artworks, evoking old feelings about Indochina architecture and fine arts, in the diverse senses of current architects, painters and artists.

Through the Festival events, the public can also explore more about the architecture of the heritage, which is a space for design and creative activities. In particular, there is also an opportunity to explore further when the organizers introduce cultural tours, experience heritage, and explore the beautiful architecture of Hanoi.

The festival also has performing arts programs such as: Traditional art performances, introducing intangible cultural heritage; introducing the fields of cinema - theater - circus; showcasing fashion collections of young, creative designers...

In addition, during the creative design week, there are also community sports activities; introduction of traditional cuisine combined in creative spaces...; creative activities in cultural heritage spaces, traditional craft villages in districts, towns and cities./.

In addition to the Creative Design Festival, Hanoi City will establish an Advisory Council of Experts to implement activities to build Hanoi - a Creative City; promote international cooperation between Hanoi and member cities in the Network; attend conferences and forums of the Global Network in Asia and Southeast Asia according to UNESCO programs; form a Coordination Center for creative activities in Hanoi and creative spaces in Hanoi.
