
Attending the ceremony were Comrade Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Head of the Central Strategic Policy Committee; Phan Thang An, Secretary of the Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee; Le Hai Hoa, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Cao Bang province; leaders of Cao Bang province from various periods; representatives of central ministries and agencies; and leaders of departments, agencies and localities in Cao Bang province.
The Dong Dang-Tra Linh expressway has a total length of 121km and is being developed in two phases with a total investment of nearly 23,000 billion VND.
Phase 1 of the project, spanning over 93km, commenced construction on January 1, 2024.

Overcoming difficulties and challenges such as natural disasters, floods, rugged terrain, and complex geological conditions, more than 3,000 project officials, engineers, and workers worked day and night, without taking holidays or Tet (Lunar New Year) breaks, to drill through mountains and build roads.
The project's output value reached 6,219/6,828 billion VND, exceeding 91% of the planned completion date for phase 1.
Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Member of the Central Committee of the Party and Head of the Central Strategic Policy Committee, emphasized that the investment and construction of the Dong Dang-Tra Linh expressway project affirms the Central Government's attention to building transportation infrastructure, creating momentum for the development of the northern midland and mountainous regions.
The delegates attending the ceremony.When completed and operational, the expressway will connect the Quang Ninh-Lang Son-Cao Bang corridor to China and vice versa, promoting economic development, border trade, and tourism.
Given its significant importance, Comrade Nguyen Thanh Nghi requested that all levels, sectors, localities, and contractors coordinate and continue to accelerate the project's construction progress. The project's construction must ensure labor safety, quality, technical standards, and aesthetics.
The People's Committees of Cao Bang and Lang Son provinces will continue to coordinate closely to ensure the progress of land clearance for the project's construction; pay compensation and arrange resettlement for families whose land and assets are confiscated for the project, ensuring the rights of the people are well protected.
The two localities are planning and developing urban areas, industrial zones, and industrial clusters, leveraging the driving role and leading transportation infrastructure of the project.

According to the plan, phase 1 of the Dong Dang-Tra Linh expressway project will be completed by the end of 2026; phase 2 will be completed by the end of 2027. Upon completion, it will create a breakthrough development impetus for Cao Bang province.
