Regarding the assault of a female pharmacist of FPT Long Chau, speaking with a reporter from the Investment Electronic Newspaper on the afternoon of February 27, Deputy Minister of Health Do Xuan Tuyen affirmed that regardless of the cause of the violence, the act of attacking doctors, medical staff or pharmacists - those working in the pharmaceutical field - cannot be justified.

Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen affirmed that these are actions that violate the law and ethics, affecting the psychology and work of those working in public health care.

Previously, on February 24, 2025, a video appeared on social media recording an incident in which a man committed a violent act, causing injury to a female pharmacist of FPT Long Chau Pharmacy. The incident occurred at 184 Nguyen Cong Tru, Tan Giang Ward, Ha Tinh City, Ha Tinh Province.

Specifically, at about 18:57 on February 18, 2025, a man came to FPT Long Chau Pharmacy to buy the product.

Then, at around 8:25 p.m. the same day, this person returned and arbitrarily moved into the pharmacy counter area reserved for employees. Here, he committed violent acts against the female pharmacist even though she had fallen and could not fight back. Although someone tried to stop him, the subject's actions continued. The incident caused another female customer to panic and leave, not continuing to buy.

This incident has seriously affected the health, spirit and honor of the female pharmacist who was assaulted. At the same time, this behavior has also caused outrage in the community and negatively affected the security and order situation in the locality, damaging the reputation of FPT Long Chau - an organization protected by law.

Notably, this man had committed similar acts towards employees of another store belonging to the FPT Long Chau system in Bac Ha ward in 2022.

This is a case of violence against someone working in the medical - health care field but not in a medical examination and treatment facility.

Meanwhile, cases of violence against doctors, medical staff at medical facilities and medical examination and treatment are quite common.

To deal with this situation, the Ministry of Health has coordinated with the Ministry of Public Security to develop regulations to ensure security and order at medical facilities. Authorities and localities have signed cooperation agreements to protect the safety of medical staff and strictly handle acts of violence.

The Ministry of Health also directed medical facilities to promptly report incidents of violence to authorities for investigation, clarification of causes and timely handling.

In addition, the Ministry of Health also requires medical facilities to focus on education and propaganda for medical staff on communication skills and behavior with patients and their families.

The goal is to build a friendly working environment, improve patient satisfaction, and avoid unnecessary conflicts. In particular, the Ministry of Health emphasizes the implementation of President Ho Chi Minh's teaching: "A good doctor is like a mother", so that every doctor and medical staff works with dedication and responsibility.
