Go to Ta Pua to explore the beautiful scenery.

From above, the Ta Pua mountain pass resembles a giant python winding through the lush green hills. After the first rain of the season, the sky brightened, but fluffy white clouds still lingered at the mountaintop, obscuring the kilometer markers along the road.

The most beautiful time is when the sky is clear and the gentle sunlight spreads across the landscape. From the top of Ta Pua Pass, travelers can gaze out over the vast expanse of golden ripe rice fields in the Duc Linh and Tanh Linh valleys. Although just a small pass, only a little over 2 kilometers long, it winds and meanders through the hillsides, with some sections having sharp, elbow-like turns, creating a truly spectacular sight. At the foot of the pass, forests and fruit trees, bearing sweet fruits year-round, intermingle with the endless rice paddies; in the distance, the mountains rise majestically under a clear blue sky, the colors of nature creating a stunning painting. Furthermore, the rural landscape here is spacious, poetic, and peaceful.

Mr. Pham Hoang, a local resident of Ta Pua (village 5, Duc Phu commune – Tanh Linh district), who accompanied us, shared: “Previously, the K'ho ethnic people called it Ba Sa Pass, located on the DT 713 road leading to Bao Loc city, but later the pass was renamed after the Ta Pua stream. This stream flows north and empties into the Da Huoai River in the Dong Nai river system. The Ta Pua stream has a pristine waterfall with great potential for tourism development…”

Today, the waterfall, along with the scenic Ta Pua Pass, is an attractive destination for many travelers and pilgrims. Near the summit of Ta Pua Pass, on weekends, locals and tourists travel by motorbike along the trail into the old forest to explore the waterfall. Although the waterfall is still pristine, nestled amidst ancient trees, it has become well-known. The waterfall here is unlike the Ba Waterfall or Dau Trau Waterfall in Tanh Linh district. Countless large rocks, eroded by water over time, have become smooth like planks, stretching for dozens of meters, with a gentle slope. Stream water flows over the rocks, and at the end of each rock lies a deep, clear pool. Therefore, many people come to the waterfall to use the rocks as a playground, sitting together and sliding down into the pool. Their cheerful laughter and chatter blend with the sound of flowing water and birdsong, making the mountain forest even more vibrant and enjoyable. However, during the rainy season, the water flow over the waterfall is quite strong, making sliding down somewhat dangerous. During the dry season, the water level in Ta Pua stream is low, the small stream is separated by large rocks, and the water trickles and flows gently under the canopy of the deep green forest. On the large, flat rocks, travelers pitch tents, camp, and enjoy themselves, chatting and laughing... forgetting the worries of everyday life.

Travelers visiting Binh Thuan to explore the beautiful scenery and unique coastal attractions should take the time to conquer the spectacular Ta Pua pass and experience waterfall sliding through the majestic old-growth forest. Travelers will surely be impressed by the serene and poetic natural landscape and the breathtaking pass at the southernmost tip of the Truong Son mountain range.
