Waiting for the performance of young Vietnamese talent
Before the tournament, Nguyen Hoai Phong was not highly regarded. However, the player born in 2003 has left a certain impression in his first appearance in the world-class arena of the UMB system. The 22-year-old talent passed the first qualifying round with a record of 2 wins. After that, the young Vietnamese player still showed quite good form, achieving high scoring efficiency to pass the second qualifying round and advance to the third qualifying round. Hoai Phong is expected to continue playing well to go further in the 2025 Ho Chi Minh City Billiards World Cup.

Besides Hoai Phong, the Vietnamese players participating in the third qualifying round are also worth watching. These are all strong names in the domestic 3-cushion carom community. Up to now, they are showing confidence. If they maintain their form, the scenario of many Vietnamese players advancing to the next round is very likely to happen.
