On the morning of October 27, the Provincial Cooperative Alliance held a ceremony to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance (October 29, 1993 - October 29, 2023).

Over the past 30 years of establishment, development and operation, the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance has had positive changes, maintaining its core role in the development of the collective economy and cooperatives. The Vietnam Cooperative Alliance has performed well its functions of representing, caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of its members, acting as a bridge between the Party and the State and the collective economic sector. The Cooperative Alliances of provinces and cities have done well in mobilizing, consulting and supporting the establishment of new cooperatives; consulting on the development of charters, production and business plans, training and fostering human resources, etc.
To date, the Central Cooperative Development Support Fund has signed loan contracts for 75 projects in 31 provinces and cities with a total amount of VND 210 billion. The local Cooperative Development Support Fund has lent over 52,000 cooperatives and cooperative groups with a total amount of VND 2,358 billion. Thanks to that, the position and prestige of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance system in the country and international organizations have been enhanced. The Vietnam Cooperative Alliance system and its members have been awarded many noble titles and awards by the Party, State and Government .
Established in 1997, up to now, the Ha Nam Provincial Cooperative Union has had strong development. The whole province has 306 cooperatives, people's credit funds and 1,233 cooperative groups operating in various fields. In recent years, the Provincial Cooperative Union has performed well its functions of representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of cooperatives; propagating and mobilizing the development of cooperatives; training and fostering cooperative officials; participating in the development of policies and laws on cooperatives; effectively implementing cooperative development support programs assigned by the Government and the Provincial People's Committee...
In the past 5 years alone, the province has established over 80 new cooperatives. The Provincial Cooperative Union in coordination with the Provincial Social Policy Bank has disbursed loans to over 50 projects with a total revolving capital of 4.5 billion VND from the National Employment Fund and over 15 billion VND from the Cooperative Development Support Fund. In the period of 2019-2023, the Provincial Cooperative Union in coordination with the Vietnam Cooperative Union conducted surveys and supported the establishment of 4 cooperatives participating in the product value chain with a total support budget of 1.3 billion VND.
Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Van Thinh, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance and Comrade Nguyen Duc Vuong, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged, commended and highly appreciated the results that the collective economic sector, cooperatives and the Cooperative Alliance of Ha Nam province have achieved over the past 26 years. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested that in the coming time, all levels, sectors, the Provincial Cooperative Alliance and its member units need to continue to do a good job of disseminating policies and guidelines on the collective economy, especially Resolution No. 20-NQ/TW dated June 16, 2022 of the 13th Party Central Committee on continuing to innovate, develop and improve the efficiency of the collective economy in the new period.
The Provincial Cooperative Union continues to perform well its advisory function, making recommendations to local Party committees and authorities on collective economic development; replicating new cooperative models associated with the development of sustainable key product chains; improving product quality according to VietGAP, GlobalGAP standards, organic products; actively applying science and technology, innovation and digital transformation; prioritizing the development of collective economic organizations associated with the development of green economy, circular economy, knowledge economy; strengthening the linkage between enterprises and cooperatives, cooperative unions, and People's Credit Funds to improve the efficiency of production, business, and services of members; supporting cooperatives in building product brands, promoting trade, and advertising products; actively advising on organizing training courses to improve awareness, qualifications, and skills in the collective economic sector. Cooperatives and cooperative groups continue to promote their role in gathering, mobilizing, and changing the way members think and work in applying scientific and technological advances to improve production and business efficiency...
On this occasion, the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance awarded the Emulation Flag to La Son Agricultural Service Cooperative (Binh Luc), the leading unit in the emulation movement of clusters and blocks of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance; the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance, the People's Committee of Ha Nam province, and the Ha Nam Provincial Cooperative Alliance commended many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the movement of collective economic development and cooperative development, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance.
