Traffic accidents occurred continuously on August 17

On August 17, two consecutive traffic accidents occurred in Hai Phong city, injuring four people.

The accident at An Duong industrial park left 3 people injured.

According to information from the city police, on August 17, there were two consecutive traffic accidents in Hai Phong City, injuring four people. In addition to the cause of the vehicle drivers, the areas where the accidents occurred all had shortcomings in traffic infrastructure.

At 18:45 on August 17, 2025, at km 22+900 on Provincial Road 362 through Ly Cau village, An Khanh commune (Hai Phong city), an accident occurred between a car 15K-267.22 driven by Nguyen Huu Vu (born in 1983, in An Khanh commune), traveling on Provincial Road 354 towards National Highway 10, colliding with a motorbike 16P2-9419 driven by Pham Duc Thang (born in 1993, in Nghi Duong commune, Hai Phong) going in the opposite direction. As a result, Mr. Thang suffered a traumatic brain injury, a broken leg, and was taken to Kien An Hospital for emergency treatment.

The initial cause was determined to be the motorcyclist driving on the wrong side of the road, causing the accident. At the same time, the area where the accident occurred was a curved road with no two-way traffic signs.

At about 18:55 on the same day, at the intersection of level crossing No. 6 in An Duong Industrial Park, An Phong Ward, Hai Phong City, there was a collision between motorbike 37G1-150.53 driven by Lo Van Chau (born in 1995, residing in Chau Binh Commune, Nghe An ) going in the direction of Phi Hong Company - An Phong Commune People's Committee, collided with electric motorbike 34MD4-501.65 driven by Dong Thi Nhu Quynh (born in 2007, residing in Hai Ninh, An Thanh Commune) and motorbike 37F1-523.37 driven by Phan Huy Nam (born in 1992, residing in Dien Chau, Nghe An) carrying Nguyen Thi Phuong Ngan (born in 2008, residing in Vien Chu, An Thanh Commune, Hai Phong) going in the same direction as the electric motorbike.

As a result, Chau, Quynh, and Nam were injured and taken to Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital for emergency treatment.

Notably, the area where the accident occurred had no signs or traffic lights. An Hung Traffic Police Station has sent a written request to the An Duong Industrial Park Management Board for these shortcomings, but they have not been resolved.

Also on August 17, the Traffic Police Department (Hai Phong City Police) received a report of a traffic accident at around 9:10 p.m. on August 14, 2025 at km 26+400 of Provincial Road 391 in Cau Xe village, Lac Phuong commune, Hai Phong city between a 15AK-062.50 motorbike driven by Ms. Hoang Thi Ngoc Anh (born in 2004, in An Bo, Vinh Thuan commune) in the direction of Tu Ky - Quy Cao, colliding with a 34B-026.99 passenger car driven by Mr. Tran Van Long (born in 1982, in group 2, Hai Duong ward, both in Hai Phong) going in the same direction and then turning around. As a result, Ms. Anh was seriously injured and is being treated at Viet Duc Friendship Hospital.

The preliminary cause was that Ms. Anh did not pay attention and Mr. Long changed the direction of the car in an unsafe manner.
