Cases of husbands attacking their wives with knives are occurring frequently.

Recently, in Lao Cai province, there have been many cases of husbands attacking their wives with knives due to family conflicts, some of which have resulted in fatalities.

On the afternoon of August 17th, information from Lao Cai province indicated that after more than 20 hours of searching, law enforcement officers had arrested Hoang Van M. (born in 1976, residing in Group 13, Bat Xat town, Bat Xat district, Lao Cai province).

Earlier, at around 4:30 AM on August 14th, during an argument with his wife, Tran Thi L. (born in 1974), M. used a knife to injure her. Afterward, Ms. L. was promptly taken by her family to the Bat Xat District General Hospital for emergency treatment.

After committing the crime, the suspect fled into the forest in hamlets 12, 13, and 14 of Bat Xat town, carrying the weapon. Determined to quickly solve the case and restore social order, the Bat Xat District Police, along with other functional units (including the military and local security forces in Bat Xat town), divided into six teams to set up checkpoints and search for the suspect. After more than 20 hours, the task force apprehended M. while he was moving from the forest back to his father's house.

In another incident, on July 16th, in area 20 of Lao Cai ward (Lao Cai city), Mr. MQT (born in 1980, working at an agency in Lao Cai city) chased after and attacked his wife, Ms. VTQTr. (born in 1994, a teacher in Bat Xat district, Lao Cai province), due to a family conflict.

Recently, in Bac Ha district (Lao Cai province), on August 5th, a husband in Na Kim village, Ta Chai commune (Bac Ha district) brutally attacked his wife with a knife, resulting in her death.

According to witnesses, the suspect, Bui Manh C. (born in 1994), returned home from going out and found his wife, Nguyen Thi H. (born in 1997), cooking in the kitchen. An argument ensued between them. Enraged, Bui Manh C. used a knife to kill his wife (they had been married for just over a year). After committing the crime, the suspect was apprehended by the Bac Ha District Police and the Lao Cai Provincial Police.
