VHO - On the evening of March 2nd (the 14th day of the first lunar month), the atmosphere in the grounds of Tran Temple (Nam Dinh ward, Ninh Binh province) became sacred and solemn before the Seal Opening Ceremony.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Binh, Head of the Management Board of the historical site in Nam Dinh ward, said: This year, the Management Board is closely coordinating with relevant agencies, units, and member units of the Organizing Committee on all tasks serving the organization of the Tran Temple Opening Ceremony 2026.

The spontaneous street vendors on Tran Thua Street have been reorganized and rearranged to ensure smooth traffic flow and convenience for visitors attending the festival; at the same time, more parking areas have been arranged to prevent congestion in front of the Tran Temple and Thap Pagoda gates.

The elderly people are busy making the final preparations before the Seal Opening Ceremony.

Furthermore, ensuring security and order, preventing beggars, impersonators of shamans, and those writing petitions in front of Tran Temple and Thap Pagoda will be crucial to maintaining civility and respect during the festival activities. Additionally, the buying, selling, and circulation of seals not issued by the temples will be prevented and dealt with.

Security was tightened at the Tran Temple Seal Opening Ceremony to ensure solemnity and sacredness.

During the incense offering ceremony and the Seal Opening Ceremony from 10 PM to midnight on the 14th day of the first lunar month, the Ninh Binh Provincial Police and the Nam Dinh Ward Police will set up barricades and strictly control the ceremonial area and all entrances and exits to Thien Truong Temple; at the same time, the temple will be closed, allowing only those responsible for participating in the ceremony to enter the inner sanctuary to ensure the solemnity of the traditional ritual.

This year, the Organizing Committee will distribute commemorative seals to the public and tourists starting at 5:00 AM on March 3rd (the 15th day of the first lunar month).

The Tran Temple Seal Opening Festival is held from February 27th to March 4th (corresponding to the 11th to 16th days of the first lunar month), with the highlight being the Seal Opening Ceremony on the night of March 2nd (the 14th day of the first lunar month) and the distribution of seals at 5:00 AM on March 3rd (the 15th day of the first lunar month) at the Giai Vu House, Trung Hoa Temple Exhibition House.
