According to BGR , the gaming community is 'feverish' over the latest revelations about Nintendo Switch 2. Although official information is still a mystery, the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) filing has revealed 2 notable features on this new generation gaming console.
Nintendo Switch 2: Flexible dual charging, Wi-Fi 6 'unleash'
The first highlight is the dual charging capability via USB-C port. Switch 2 users can now charge the device from both the USB-C port on the bottom and the newly added port on the top of the device. This feature brings maximum convenience, allowing players to charge the device in any position.

In addition, the Switch 2 is also equipped with Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) with a bandwidth of up to 80 MHz, promising fast download speeds and smoother online gaming experiences. Although Nintendo has not integrated Wi-Fi 6E or 7, this is still a significant step up from Wi-Fi 5 on the previous generation.
The FCC filing also confirms some familiar details like NFC reading via the right Joy-Con controller, amiibo compatibility, and the Switch 2 supports charging at 15V and 2.6A, although the included power adapter is rated at up to 20V.
The leak also suggests that the Switch 2 will be larger than the original Switch, feature magnetically attached Joy-Cons with C buttons, and new triggers. Nintendo has also confirmed that the console will be compatible with physical and digital Switch games, but some games may not be fully supported. There will also be exclusive Switch 2 titles.
With these exciting 'teasers', fans are looking forward to the official launch of Nintendo Switch 2 next April.
