Horror films dominate Vietnamese theaters in April.

Five horror films, such as "The First Omen" and "Abigail," are competing with Ly Hai's "Face Off 7" and Hollywood projects like "Monkey Man" and "Civil War."

Directed by Arkash Stevenson, this project is a prequel to The Omen , produced in 1976. The film tells the story of Sister Margaret (Nell Tiger Free), who is sent to Rome to serve the Church. There, Margaret inadvertently uncovers a plot to create the Antichrist – those who betray God.

The film, directed by Thai artists Artistaya and Theerakhaha Arriyawongsa, revolves around a trip by five students to the mansion of a wealthy family. The new installment of Ly Hai's "Flip Face" tells the story of a 73-year-old mother (Thanh Hien) who has five children but none to care for them. Her eldest son, Hai Khon (Truong Minh Cuong), lives a life of luxury, while Ba Lanh (Dinh Y Nhung), Tu Hau (Quach Ngoc Tuyen), Nam Thao (Tram Anh), and Sau Tam (Tran Kim Hai) are not as well-off.

Once, when she had an accident, her children held an online meeting to discuss who would go back to their hometown to take care of her. They pushed the responsibility onto each other, claiming they all had their own difficulties. Despite this, Mrs. Hai still proudly boasted about her children to her neighbors.

Directed by Fujii Michihito, the project is an adaptation of the book Youth 18x2 Japan Slow Train Wanderings . The story follows Jimmy (played by Hsu Kwung-Han) on a trip to Japan to reunite with his first love, Ami (played by Kaya Kiyohara). Ami had previously traveled to Taiwan for an extended period and met Jimmy there. They spent the entire summer together, but she suddenly returned to her home country without explanation, leaving Jimmy behind. Eighteen years later, while cleaning out his old house, the young man discovers a postcard with a message from Ami that he had never read.

However, faced with life's difficulties, conflicts, and challenges, they choose to handle them in unexpected ways.

It might seem that fame and fortune can build happiness, but then they all become burdens, suffocating and trapping those who were "born with a silver spoon in their mouths." The project's message is: "The price of happiness is always paid with pain. In family life, empathy between members is the most important thing."
