The whirlwind did not cause any casualties, but it ripped off the roofs of some houses, toppled power poles, boundary walls, and trees belonging to residents of Chu Van An ward.
According to the Hai Phong City Meteorological and Hydrological Station, radar images show that convective clouds developing and causing rain in Hung Yen and Bac Ninh provinces are moving towards Hai Phong city.

Forecasts indicate that over the next few hours, convective clouds will continue to develop, bringing showers and thunderstorms to the western and northwestern areas of the city, including: Mao Dien, Cam Giang, Cam Giang, Tue Tinh, Viet Hoa, Thach Khoi, Gia Loc, Ke Sat, Binh Giang, Duong An, Thuong Hong, Yet Kieu, Gia Phuc, Truong Tan, Bac Thanh Mien, Nam Thanh Mien, Nguyen Luong Bang, Chi Linh, Chu Van An, Hop Tien, Le Dai Hanh, Tran Phu, Thai Tan, An Phu, Nam Sach, Dai Sen, Hai Tay, Thanh Ha, Ha Bac, Viet Ha, Tu Minh, Tan Hung, Thanh Dong, Ai Quoc, Hai Duong, Le Thanh Nghi, Nam Dong, Tran Hung Dao, Nguyen Trai, Tran Nhan Tong, and Lai Khe. Rain may then spread to other areas.

During thunderstorms, be wary of tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind that can uproot trees, damage houses, transportation infrastructure, and endanger human lives.
