Windows 11's Annoying File Explorer Bug Is About to Be Fixed
Ever since the addition of tabbed browsing in Windows 11 Moment 1 update, File Explorer has not been working as expected. Every time a user clicks on a folder link, the system opens a new window, which is inconvenient and clutters the screen.
However, in the latest build 22635.4515, Microsoft has added an option that allows users to choose whether to open folder links in a new tab or a new window. This feature is currently disabled by default, but users can enable it using the ViveTool tool.
Additionally, this update brings a number of other improvements to File Explorer, such as the ability to disable OneDrive backup notifications in the address bar.
These are small but welcome changes, showing that Microsoft is listening to user feedback and working to perfect Windows 11. Hopefully, in the future, File Explorer will continue to be improved to bring a better experience to users.
