From 2022 to 2025, the TVA Project, funded by WWF-Norway through WWF-Vietnam and received by the People's Committee of Hue City, has implemented the "Plastic-reducing Schools" model in the city. The model attracted the participation of 180 schools with more than 54,000 students, of which 83 schools were model schools, collecting nearly 30 tons of scrap, including more than 5.5 tons of plastic, contributing to creating sustainable changes in awareness and behavior about plastic waste in theeducational environment.
In addition, the TVA Project's plastic-reducing school model from 2022-2025 has supported 117 "Green Houses" to collect recyclable waste; nearly 6,200 students have access to action education methods in plastic reduction propaganda, contributing to helping schools reduce more than 660 kg of single-use plastic each month. An educational resource was built with 54 sample lectures, 161 electronic lesson plan contest entries, and more than 600 lessons integrating the topic of plastic waste into the curriculum.
