Long An Appraises Provincial Museum - Library Project

According to the appraisal report of the investment proposal, capital sources and balancing capacity of the Department of Finance, the capital project of the Provincial Museum - Library will have a total investment of nearly 987 billion VND, expected to be implemented from 2025 - 2028.

Of the total investment of nearly 987 billion VND, about 168 billion VND will be spent on compensation and site clearance, the rest will be spent on construction and equipment. Investment funds will come from the provincial budget and other legally mobilized capital sources.

The project's goal is to build a modern exhibition space, preserve cultural heritage, serve research and tourism development. Currently, the provincial museum is seriously degraded, not meeting storage and display needs. The provincial library also needs to be upgraded to better meet the needs of readers.

The project is expected to be implemented from 2025-2028, with a construction scale of 39,500 m² in Ward 5, Tan An City. This is expected to become an important cultural destination of Long An and the Southwest region.
