According to the assessment of the investment proposal report, funding sources, and balancing capacity by the Department of Finance, the provincial Museum - Library project will have a total investment of nearly 987 billion VND, expected to be implemented from 2025 to 2028.

Of the total investment of nearly 987 billion VND, approximately 168 billion VND will be allocated to compensation and land clearance, with the remainder for construction and equipment. The investment will be funded from the provincial budget and other legally mobilized capital sources.

The project aims to build a modern exhibition space, preserve cultural heritage, and serve research and tourism development. Currently, the provincial museum is in serious disrepair and does not meet the needs for storage and display. The provincial library also needs upgrading to better meet the needs of readers.

The project is expected to be implemented from 2025-2028, with a construction scale covering an area of ​​39,500 m² in Ward 5, Tan An City. It is anticipated to become an important cultural destination for Long An and the Southwestern region of Vietnam.
