The Long Bien District Social Insurance Office has just announced a list of 700 units that have been late in paying social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance contributions for 3 months or more. The list is updated until the end of March 2025.
These entities have the lowest overdue payments of just a few hundred thousand dong, and the highest reaching over 30 billion dong. The shortest delay in payment is 3 months, while the longest is over 10 years. The majority of these entities have overdue insurance payments ranging from tens of millions to hundreds of millions of dong.
Notably, 10 units had overdue insurance payments exceeding 1 billion VND each. Among them, three construction companies stand out, owing insurance premiums for many years, totaling over 64 billion VND.
The company with the highest amount of overdue insurance payments, exceeding 30 billion VND, is Bridge 12 Joint Stock Company. The company with the longest delay in insurance payments on the list, totaling 123 months (10 years and 3 months), is Construction Machinery 121 Cienco1 Joint Stock Company, with a total overdue amount of nearly 20 billion VND.
Notably, one group of private preschools also owes insurance premiums for 97 months, totaling over 1 billion VND.
To address the issue of late or evaded social insurance contributions, the amended Social Insurance Law, effective from July 1, 2025, stipulates a late payment penalty of 0.03% per day calculated on the amount of social insurance and unemployment insurance contributions that are overdue or evaded, plus the number of days of delay.
