Militia helps people harvest flooded rice in Vinh Thanh commune
In Hung Dien commune, a 2km long dike was flooded. The Hung Dien Commune Military Command promptly mobilized 30 officers and soldiers along with tools to transport soil to reinforce the dike.
Determined not to let the rising water submerge people's crops, hundreds of cubic meters of soil were transported by soldiers in time to successfully prevent the dike from overflowing. In addition, many field pumps were deployed to pump water out of the dike area.
