Strawberry consumption in Hai Duong increased sharply

According to some retailers, strawberry consumption has increased sharply this year.

According to some traders at Hoi Do fruit wholesale market, Dong Ngo Quyen market (Hai Duong city), Cuoi market (Gia Loc)... the consumption of strawberries this year has increased sharply, ten times higher than last year. There are wholesale points selling 100 - 1300 kg of strawberries/day; retail points also sell from 15 - 70 boxes/day, each box weighs 0.5 kg. Not only at the markets, many personal Facebook pages also sell strawberries in large quantities. The selling price ranges from 25,000 - 50,000 VND/box, depending on the size of the fruit and the origin of the strawberries. However, the traders all confirm that these are strawberries from Moc Chau (Son La) or Da Lat.

Strawberries from some gardens in the province sell for 150,000 - 200,000 VND/kg.

According to information in the Health and Life newspaper, Chairman of the Moc Chau Strawberry Club (Son La province) Nguyen Ngoc Viet, Moc Chau strawberries have a good harvest this year, and the planting area has also increased. In addition, there is another very large strawberry growing area in Mai Son district. However, strawberries are mainly distributed to supermarkets and tourists. The selling price at the garden is 250,000 VND/kg for VIP strawberries. Other types are from 100,000 - 200,000 VND/kg depending on the size of the fruit.

"Online market" sells strawberries at cheap prices

Through research at some gardens in the province, strawberries are also sold from 150,000 - 200,000 VND/kg. Therefore, consumers should be careful when buying cheap strawberries.
