Windsurfing in Mui Ne

Việt NamViệt Nam08/08/2024

Mui Ne – Phan Thiet is a developing windsurfing destination in Vietnam. This is due to its ideal conditions: a long coastline with fine white sand, clear blue water, no underwater rocks, moderately high waves, suitable wind conditions, and its relatively distance from fishing boat anchorages. Therefore, the International Windsurfing Association highly regards Mui Ne and has organized international windsurfing competitions there. This has encouraged an increasing number of international tourists to experience windsurfing in Mui Ne, a powerful and captivating sport .

If you love the adventurous sport of kitesurfing, join Vietnam.vn on a trip to Mui Ne to learn about this sport through the photo series "Kitchen Surfing in Mui Ne" by author Nguyen Van Anh. Choose a beautiful day, travel to Binh Thuan, and experience kitesurfing on the beaches of Mui Ne – it will bring you many exciting things. Kitesurfing is a world- renowned beach sport. The author submitted this photo series to the "Happy Vietnam" photo and video contest, organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications .

Windsurfing is a sport imported from abroad that offers players many exciting experiences, but it is not yet widespread in Vietnam. If you want to experience this sport, you can only go to a few famous tourist beaches in Vietnam. Among them, windsurfing at Mui Ne beach is the most exciting and famous in Vietnam. Kitesurfing at Mui Ne beach was featured in Asia One's travel magazine's Top 5 "paradises" for adventurous experiences in Asia.

A windsurfer is someone who stands on a board and uses a sail to catch the wind, propelling them forward across the water. Windsurfers can surf like surfers, but they can also perform freestyle maneuvers and techniques by using the sail to jump and spin in the air.

As summer approaches, the beaches are awash in the colors of sailboats. The sunnier the weather, the deeper the sea, the bluer the water, the bigger the waves, and the stronger the wind, the more tourists flock to windsurfing.

Good physical fitness is a prerequisite for this sport; in addition, you also need strong hands and skillful feet to steer your sails with the wind, creating white streaks on the waves and riding the surging waves that seem ready to swallow you whole.

Of course, as a sport, windsurfing offers numerous physical benefits. While playing, you must coordinate your body movements smoothly, especially using your hands and feet flexibly and decisively to steer the sail through unpredictable waves, both strong and gentle. This will give you a strong and healthy body.

Nothing could be more exhilarating than skillfully steering your sails through a torrent of ferocious waves, like monstrous sea creatures. Although you'll endure the stinging blows of wind and water, sometimes feeling sore all over from bending and twisting to ride the waves… when you leap and leap, riding on the crests of the waves, all the challenges, and even nature itself, will look up in admiration at your courage and steely spirit. Below is the clear blue sea, above is the vast sky, and you are in the middle, feeling completely free and at ease.

In 2024, the "Happy Vietnam" photo and video contest continued to be organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications in collaboration with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists on the website.   https://happy.vietnam.vn is open to all Vietnamese citizens and foreigners aged 15 and above.
