The aptitude test organized by the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City is scheduled to take place in its first phase this weekend (April 7th). In this first phase alone, the exam will be held in 24 locations and has attracted over 96,000 registered candidates. This number marks the highest number of registered candidates for the first phase of the exam this year has ever recorded.

According to information released by the Center for Testing and Evaluation of Training Quality (Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City), this year it is expected that 105 universities and colleges will register to use the exam results to consider a portion of their admission quotas.

The first phase of the exam will take place in the following localities: Thua Thien-Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Binh Thuan, Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Binh Phuoc, Tay Ninh, Tien Giang, Ben Tre, Dong Thap, Vinh Long, An Giang , Can Tho, Kien Giang, and Bac Lieu.
