A love that lasts forever

In 2009, I decided to leave Saigon and return to my hometown to start a career and become involved with Quang Nam Newspaper, hoping to live and work in my homeland...

I am very fortunate to have returned and worked at Quang Nam Newspaper, where the measure of competence lies within each individual. For the Editorial Secretariat of the print newspaper, all members work with the highest sense of responsibility, bound together by a collective spirit. We love each other like family, bonded and growing together.

In the days leading up to the merger, we kept asking each other, "Stay or go?" But no matter what choice we made, we remained deeply attached to the name Quang Nam, the name of the land, the name of the beloved local Party newspaper – a great love shared by journalists in this steadfast land.

The people of the two provinces and cities are entrusting their hopes for a new city, a new growth pole for the country, to the city's leaders. And that is also the hope of us, those of us tasked with disseminating the Party and State's policies to the people, as well as bringing the voices of all segments of the population to the leaders of the new city.

We – those working in policy communications – hope to bring the voices and aspirations of people in remote areas, border regions, and ethnic minority communities to the city's leaders, given the vast terrain, large population, and numerous difficulties still faced by many areas of Quang Nam that need to be heard and understood.

Initially, many obstacles are anticipated, but the expectation of a government that is close to the people and listens to them will become a reality, as envisioned by all levels in the arrangement of administrative boundaries and the operation of a two-tiered local government system.
